"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. Nice. Pretty chill, except for the idiotic idea I had to talk to my sisters, which crashed and burned in spectacular fashion. Cooked. Ate too much. Listened to WFMU. Managed to bathe the dog without disaster accompanying. Good enough for for government work.

We've been protesting the T****p administration by only drinking Obama-era wines. The champagne was L'Aubry Fils, 2013 vintage. Best bottle I've had in a long time. I don't drink champagne often but I really like it when I do and I always say "I should drink this stuff more often!". I truly am a Champagne Socialist.

I've always thought that John McLaughlin's guitar work on this specific song was one of the few places where heavy-metal and jazz briefly and successfully shook hands. Such a strange, expansive, and aggressive track.
