And, despite the film's considerable alterations to the narrative, I thought Mark Strong played the role really well in the 2011 version. One of my favorite scenes in any novel is the part in "Tinker, Tailor" where Prideaux is in Czechoslovakia, slowly coming to the realization that he's being tailed, and all the moves he makes to shake his tailers. The best stretches involved looping an exercise band around a door knob, lying on the floor, then putting your heel in the loop. Slowly stretching/bouncing can help the muscles to get back into position. Another one is lying on the floor, put your leg up on a wall heel against the wall as high as you can without pain, then just hold that position for at least 30 seconds. Work up to 1-2 minutes. I found those on the Kaiser Permanente website years ago.

	♥ 2:41pm Krys O.: Also @chresti: These two physical therapists have extremely helpful videos for various ailments. Their tips have helped me through some awful injuries and pain. youtu.be... I also recommend a Thera-Cane. I use it almost daily on pressure points.

And, despite the film's considerable alterations to the narrative, I thought Mark Strong played the role really well in the 2011 version. One of my favorite scenes in any novel is the part in "Tinker, Tailor" where Prideaux is in Czechoslovakia, slowly coming to the realization that he's being tailed, and all the moves he makes to shake his tailers. The best stretches involved looping an exercise band around a door knob, lying on the floor, then putting your heel in the loop. Slowly stretching/bouncing can help the muscles to get back into position. Another one is lying on the floor, put your leg up on a wall heel against the wall as high as you can without pain, then just hold that position for at least 30 seconds. Work up to 1-2 minutes. I found those on the Kaiser Permanente website years ago.
