"Of the pleasures and pains of opium much has been written. The ecstasies and horrors of De Quincey and the paradis artificiels of Baudelaire are preserved and interpreted with an art which makes them immortal, and the world knows well the beauty, the terror, and the mystery of those obscure realms into which the inspired dreamer is transported. But much as has been told, no man has yet dared intimate the nature of the phantasms thus unfolded to the mind, or hint at the direction of the unheard-of roads along whose ornate and exotic course the partaker of the drug is so irresistibly borne. ..."

I'v e been listening to too much Throbbing Gristle lately to prep for my Halloween show and these vox are sure reminding me of Genesis...I'm scared

Hmmmm Handy. I think I understand. There is definitely drugs involved. Necessary drugs. Or as I call ‘em…breakfast!

Necessary drugs
  3:36pm
The Butterman:

‘91 MSG Dead show. Opium was involved as well as some kind of paper. Shirtless Dude sitting with us was air drumming during drums and space as fiercely as one can manage to air drum. He then proceeded to vomit all over the place and continued air drumming fiercely. Save all sarcastic dead comments. The point of the story is the opium. I even have a picture of our 17 year old selves with dude in the background.

Ken - I think this is at least the fourth one I've had in the past few months. I think I gotta stop eating collagen protein every day in my shakes. As long as I stay insanely hydrated the pain is vaguely tolerable and doesn't hit the OMG I'm gonna puke stage. My body is basically a dangerous carnival ride of horrors.
