Is this "Flying Spegetti Monster"?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:14am

1954 remix. Does that make this over under?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16am

Hi WR!

Hi SOp!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25am
StringOFperils:

How goes the 'lockdown' scenario, Jan?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am
Jan Turkenburg:

At the end of the day, it doesn't affect my life too much, so I'm alright, but it's the thought of the world outside being upside again that shook me last week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32am
Jan Turkenburg:

And for us it's new to see everyone wearing facemasks in the supermarket. And I'm afraid however that some of my faourite places to have lunch or a drink won't survive this, as I speak to their owners...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am
Jan Turkenburg:

I try to support them to get takeaways instead, but ...

Swinging Hawaii came on just as I was reading that Nelstone's Hawaiians who are the 2nd cut on Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music were 2 men from southern Alabama. Not from Hawaii.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55am
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Granny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am
StringOFperils:

Toy cannon. The title reminds me that while I was walking a dog a week ago, I passed by a household that had placed a whole array of used children's toys out on the lawn, by the sidewalk, for people to take. ALL OF THEM were plastic assault weapons!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:01am
StringOFperils:

Like a dozen of them! WTF?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am
Jan Turkenburg:

can't teach them young enough, hey...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am
Mx. Granny (e/em):

this is way goofy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09am

Making up snappy uber-fascist aggressive English-language war lyrics to this happy jazzy 'Hawaiian' war chant.

I played this friday at Focus. Some people find this take very disturbing. "wtf, does the world need this?' Me: "Yes!"
Avatar 11:21am
Otis:

Me too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:22am
StringOFperils:

The World and WFMU don't have the same needs, obviously. And as far as I can see, the World has it all wrong.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:23am

I nearly watched the 1978 Sgt. Pepper's movie when I saw that it's on Amazon Prime, but didn't, since I didn't have anything to drink in the house and would've probably ended up drinking cleaning products instead.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39am
Jan Turkenburg:

There were two composers named Jurriaan Andriessens, the uncle and his nephew. The nephew was a friend of mine. He wrote one big piano piec. Hedwig's portrait that's both a painting and a music score.
Avatar 11:39am
