WFMU's Transpacific Sound Paradise joins in celebrating Global Music Month this September! Global Music Month is a collaborative online mega-festival featuring content from nineteen festivals and event producers in the US and Canada, most of whom normally present in-person festivals and concerts in the summer and autumn months. Because that's not possible this year they've teamed up to cross-promote online events all this month under the Global Music Month banner.

The full daily schedule for Global Music Month is here.

Here's a highlight from recent Global Music Month offerings: Last night's 27th Annual Lotus Festival (Bloomington, Indiana) Friday Evening Showcase Concert:

Thanks for the scene report Bas! It is a little surreal when you actually do get to see live music now, if you do that is, under the circumstances. I've been to a couple of official outdoor concerts that were held in NJ near where I live; there have also been informal porch and park performances going on especially in Brooklyn. I haven't heard any indication that anything will be happening indoors in our area any time soon though.

There's a frantic search in new ways of organizing things here. Yesterdays was re-programmed to a larger venue first and then split into an early and a late session of half an hour.. We'll get there. For sure!
