Hey $mall ¢hange and everyone.
  12:06am
$mall ¢hange:

morning party ppl!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09am
mariano:

This is the kind of jam that's always playing in the background at the gang's hangout in 70s cop shows.
  12:11am
$mall ¢hange:

yeah those shows used a lot of jazz funk / session ppl. police woman by henry mancini etc
  12:12am
BH:

the gang secretly invested in a local radio station to keep their songs on the air, back when more people owned radio stations
Avatar 12:15am
khd:

invest in fmu to keep good songs on the air
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16am
mariano:

And to make sure that 70s gangs never run out of background music.
  12:17am
$mall ¢hange:

haha indeed! keep those chase scenes happening!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18am
mariano:

I loved those chase scenes where it was just one long sax solo. Classic stuff.

Heyo. Popped in an old SC tape from 10/18/00 this weekend. It was an episode broadcast from the Exchange Pl station. Lots of shenanigans but the music is timeless.
  12:27am
$mall ¢hange:

oh snap haha. nice. did I have a guest?
Avatar 12:32am
mb:

A few. There was a fake Muslim a fake Jew that called in and what sounded like acid kicking in as trains pulled in and out. It could have been my poor engineering skills but its possible there was about 10mins of either dead air or maybe a faint sound coming thru. Haha. Lots of stuff that is not radio safe in 2020.
  12:36am
$mall ¢hange:

haha I think my guest was Glen / DJ Wind Up who was quite the character, if my blunted mind recalls. believe I was just using sound efx for the train station
Avatar 12:42am
mb:

lulz. He was playing the outraged Palestinian and a faux outraged Israeli gentleman was on the phone being offended as he mocked him. Lots of bomb talk that would be red flags today. Haha.
  12:45am
$mall ¢hange:

oh yeah that was Glenn. def not politically correct and my current political self would def wince lol
Avatar 12:49am
khd:

oh man, i was listening to a bunch of wire the other day, love this one :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54am

Love the Ronson, hey $¢ and all.

BH:

Choose your own adventure question for me tonight.
Q: "You're sorta tied out from being stressed today, do you.."
A) go to sleep slightly earlier to try and sleep for like 7-8 hours, or
B) Fall asleep with the phone in the bed like usual

I'm guessing I end up doing B instead of A. But who knows!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am

Avatar 1:07am

'rappers below and your lurkers above and those stalagmite/tite things'

Avatar 1:09am
khd:

you could cast that on a tee for a rolling stones t-shirt
  1:10am
$mall ¢hange:

  1:11am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57am
Rory:

Funny how this gets no attention in msm even though supposedly he’s public enemy number 1 in the whole Russian interference, yet the trump admin is indicting him, but they’re both Russian foreign agents? Um, Rachel Maddow needs to explain lol!!
  2:01am
$mall ¢hange:

no attn in MSM...even tho they spied on some of their reporters. WaPo etc. anyways...back to the aaahhceeedd
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03am

You go to prison for exposing war crimes not causing them.. Oh yeah, the MUSIC!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42am
mariano:

This is the same Assagai who did that really sweet high-life version of "Hey Jude"?
  2:42am
$mall ¢hange:

exactly. bookends. although this is an african cop film
  2:45am
$mall ¢hange:

maybe...they have a few joints. Telephone Girl is another one I've bumped, I think from a different LP then the track I played
Avatar 2:50am
mb:

I don't think your politics have changed much compared to that show from 2000, DJ. These eggheads are expressing similar opinions expressed by DJ Wind Up but the language and delivery is a little more civilized.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54am
mariano:

Thank you $mall ¢hange and Crew, have a good night/day everyone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54am
