@TDK60 I usually listen on the archive player, not in the shop - we're based withn an arts centre and we're right by the cafe/bar, and normally the music they have on dominates the space. Lockdown rules mean no music allowed in bars, but retail spaces are fine...

Hello Ruth Booth, Jeffrey, and listeners!

This piece by "Your Schizophrenia" was great, so I went to look for it, and turns our it's a project by Natalia Drepina, whose art we used on one of our albums! Serendipity...
  7:26am
Ted in Montclair:

Jeffrey, the only thing I can think of re Apollo 11 is that maybe there was a danger of the heat shield detaching upon re-entry, which would have spelled doom. I hadn’t heard that. I live in Montclair, where Buzz Aldrin was born and grew up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40am
Jeffrey Davison:

A bit of history: Doctor Turtle is Simon Ounsworth, and some years ago he told me about a young guitarist living in Brighton named Gwenifer Raymond, whose music I then checked out. There was a bit on Bandcamp, and some videos on YT of her busking. Needless to say, I was gobsmacked. I contacted Josh Rosenthal of Tompkins Square, and he signed her immediately. She's got a new one coming out! Single was released yesterday on Bandcamp Friday.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52am

Diezel Tea: found on YT. Thank you.
  7:53am
Ted in Montclair:

Jeffrey, just read the article. Fascinating...and scary. Another example of the fact that historical events were not pre-ordained, but could have turned out differently. We tend to forget that.
  7:59am
Aye-Aye:

The word 'Proun' is borrowed from the Russian artist El Lissitzky. In the 1920s he produced a series of abstract, geometric paintings which he called Proun. Pronounced "pro-oon" according to wikipedia.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00am
Jeffrey Davison:

Aye-Aye: thanks. I should have looked that up. I don't like announcing titles whose meaning I don't know, if I believe it's not a made-up word.
