Hello Georgia, Ira, TOPT, Skeleton, all!
  12:09am Rick G:

Is your show making the cut for the next season or is that top-secret? It’s been such a great mid-week break through all of this, thanks.

  12:42am Agent Peter:

Feeling like Sunday morning...minus the reggae of course
Swag For Life Member 12:43am Ira:

Reggae's coming.
Avatar 12:43am Hoboken Jack:

Hey Joe, Matt, HP Ken!
  12:44am Agent Peter:

They won't step it up but they will stir it up

Maybe the second best song named "Justine".

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55am Matt Fiveash:

Oh hey Jack!
Avatar 12:56am Joe B:

@coela - i know I took one or two! thankfully it was at a Ponderosa Stomp so there were like 4 other great bands playing to go watch
  12:56am John L:

Today is Tuesday, do you know what that means? We're gonna have a special guest. So get out the broom and sweep the place clean...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59am coelacanth∅:

Joe, nice. never been.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00am Matt Fiveash:

So 2005 Stomp- was that at the old Rock n Bowl? Joe B, I am confident you're the guy who would know...
Avatar 1:02am Joe B:

yup last one. 2006 memphis
Avatar 1:03am Joe B:

and i have year wrong on Green Fuz - was 2008, not 2010
Swag For Life Member 1:03am Ira:

That Lady Bo photo is from Brenton Wood's set, downstairs. If I remember right, he got an encore and Lady Bo came on and they improvised a blues song. What a great set. Alex Chilton was beaming. So were we. Dr. Ike convinced Brenton Wood to perform "Psychotic Reaction."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06am Gaylord Fields:

I can verify, as I was there at those Ponderosa Stomps, and I was sober. When all you lushes seek me out come your memoir-writing time, the price goes up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10am Matt Fiveash:

I missed that legendary Brenton Wood set just out of the sheer exhaustion and confusion that inevitably resulted at some point every night of the Stomp, especially those early ones that were, uh, pretty loosely structured... A tragic mistake that still haunts me today, I can't believe I missed it and I was like 100 feet away!
Swag For Life Member 1:11am Ira:

Seeing Gaylord on the comments page makes me think of Perry Mason, which makes me think of pointless reboots (not that I've actually seen the HBO Perry Mason). Georgia and I got ready for tonight's show by watching JB Smoove on Conan. He was pitching a Columbo reboot, starring himself, retitled Brolumbo. I'd watch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12am coelacanth∅:

Gaylord's got a retirement income all set
Swag For Life Member 1:12am Ira:

@Matt Fiveash: Substitute Betty Harris for Brenton Wood, and that's what haunts me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12am Matt Fiveash:

Gaylord was that the year we both stayed at the same place on Prytania Street? I was drunk and do not remember
Avatar 1:13am Joe B:

@Matt - so many moments like that, like missing long john hunter while the first Groovies reunion was happening
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am Gaylord Fields:

@Coel: And once I’m rich, I’m gonna drink myself into a stupor.
Avatar 1:14am Joe B:

I always wanted to make a Columbo cartoon, and he'd have a sidekick that was like a talking dog from the brady kids cartoon or something
Avatar 1:15am Joe B:

I'm on board with JB Smoove's pitch, as long as they continue never showing mrs columbo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15am Matt Fiveash:

Uh oh, 91.1 suddenly turned to fuzz here in Brooklyn...
Avatar 1:15am Joe B:

er, mrs brolumbo
Avatar 1:16am Joe B:

91.1 off the air in JC as well
Avatar 1:16am Jedley:

Let's get Georgia some performance royalties
Avatar 1:17am Joe B:

thanks for shoutout!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19am Gaylord Fields:

@Matt, yeah that was the year we stayed on Prytania. I think I shared a bed with Carrie B. that year, as part of a running annualn Stomp tradition you are certainly aware of.

@Ira: I’ll take my Perry Mason without Don Draper-esque haunted character backstory, that’s for sure! And I’d even sign up for Quibi to watch “Brolumbo”!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19am Darren:

Working on investigating the issue with 91.1, thanks for letting us know!
Avatar 1:19am Joe B:

thanks darren!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20am Darren:

It should be back now!
Avatar 1:20am Joe B:

yup back on 91.1 in JC
Avatar 1:21am Hoboken Jack:

oh great now I won't be able to get that insidious 855-WFMU-CAR jingle out of my head
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21am Chop Scott:

Hearing 91.1 signal fine in Brooklyn Darren.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21am Matt Fiveash:

It's back! Darren how did you get to East Orange and fix it so fast?

Hi all - Mission of Burma is hitting the spot
Swag For Life Member 1:32am Ira:

No, the next song is NOT called "Dumbbells," it's called "January."
Avatar 1:33am Paper Moog:

I’m actually in The Golden State
Avatar 1:37am Hoboken Jack:

You're in some kind of state Paper Moog, but any Elephant 6 fan is ok in my book.
Avatar 1:42am Paper Moog:

A guy in my college class was rob Schneider’s babysitter and they won a contest by listening to the radio and identifying which Beatles song was skipped In an otherwise complete A to Z promotion
  1:49am Owen:

Tuning in from Portland, OR in my backyard! Great picks so far :)
Avatar 1:55am Joe B:

that pete phillips song is incredible
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57am Gaylord Fields:

Good night GF!
  1:58am she chimp:

great stuff. thank you
  1:59am BH:

hello, just realized I went from not really having enough pens to having too many pens in the period of a month
  2:01am John L:

Gimme Danger was fun. There was a showing at a local theater and Jarmusch showed up, unannounced, to introduce the movie and answer questions afterwards. He is a great conversationalist.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08am coelacanth∅:

i'm gonna try that "sleep" thing too. i'm curious.
Thanks Georgia! Thanks Ira! Thanks Darren & rest of crew!

Beautiful set!
  2:12am Georgia:

@Eric thanks Eric!
  2:14am Tim in Philly:

can't say I've listened to all 30 of the releases in the Ethiopiques series, but this is far and away my favorite of all the ones I do know. also been getting down to a lot of Hailu Mergia this past week.
  2:18am Dungaroos Kipawah:

This set is really putting me in the sweet spot—also some props for seeding the entire playlist w some of the Ponderosa Stomp featured artists—William Bell, Green Fuz, Freddie Roulette. Always get itchy this time of year, hoping to point my car south for the Stomp. Sigh
Avatar 2:23am ToTetsu:

hey .. um .. I sent a bottle of sparking apple juice to your house.. Did you get it?
  2:35am Owen:

I really like this Heron Oblivion song, I haven't heard of them before!
Avatar 2:38am Paper Moog:

I know you guys already think I’m weird but I’m listening to WFMU on my phone but watching a muted video of Olivia Tremor Control at Pitchfork festival in Chi 2012 on my lap top
  2:51am Pete G.:
