Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm David (in London):

All hail Mary Wing.
Afternoon all. Hey Stanley.

Hi David, how are you doing?
UK is never ready for anything.

Good morning! Ready here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm Stanley:

Howdy RevRab, Brian, and rw! Happy Wednesday!

Repeated dings of ilks unheard before, Mary. Hello, and greets, Stanley, DiL, RevRab, Brian, and rw.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm David (in London):

Ooh Mary Wing, you are awful...but I like you.
Avatar 12:20pm Mary Wing:

Hi there, WR! I know the pain of too many archives waiting for me; I make sure to at least listen to Stan's so that I can type up his playlist, but so many others are queued up!

Gotta run. Hopefully I'll be back in time to be at least 40%
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm David (in London):

And now, shamefully, I have to duck out. In my defence, I'm going to dinner with some friends. In an actual restaurant. Amazing. I hope I don't disgrace myself having forgotten all of the social niceties.

Thanks Mary Wing, and see all you groovers later on.
Avatar 12:54pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Taurus being the sign of Form is often a very good shape indeed...
@Sem: 23rd August is of course Keith Moon's B-Day - but otherwise confoundingly near the transition from Sun in Leo to Virgo for generalizations... There is a thing called Personology which despite the iffy name is pretty interesting stuff about each B-Day of the year specifically... Otherwise I'd be inclined for an Individual to run their unique BirthChsrt & speak @ much length about that...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Phillippe Bastille:

@DiL Friends you can go to dinner with? What are those?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Ike:

Ribbit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm David (in London):

Avatar 12:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Mary Wing you are really rather good. Btw.
Avatar 12:57pm Mary Wing:

Hiya Ike! I heard a guy walking behind me who was talking on the phone yesterday, and he sounded like you--I was so disappointed when I turned around and it wasn't you, heh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Phillippe Bastille:

@DiL would love to but I'll still be on the phone with the Tompkins girl. Other than that I'd be there.
Avatar 12:58pm Mary Wing:

Aw, thanks, RevRab! I'm just sitting in my pajamas, playing music.
Avatar 1:02pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

i lived with a guy had beautiful long dreads. any time there was something spoiling in the kitchen he'd say i'll take it, and he'd put it in the shower for use in his hair. i never finish a jar of mayo before it's old so that was the most often used hair treatment.

As I recall from seventh-grade science, the record for emulsifying oil into one egg white was 50 gallons. Though that was some time ago and what with modern nutrition and training regimens, the young emulsifiers of the modern day might have broken it.
Avatar 2:02pm coelacanth∅:

real mayonnaise isn't so sinister. i don't know when they started adding sugar to it for the masses but that's when it became sinister.

Spicy brown mustard for the win! None of that yellow French's crap!
Avatar 2:12pm βrian:

Turmeric is well and good, but don't put it in my mustard, yo.
Avatar 2:12pm coelacanth∅:

oh yeah, Handy. cheap yellow mustard as a child but one day my father got gulden's spicy brown and it became difficult to turn back, since mustard -even good mustard was pretty inexpensive.

We went through a phase not long ago of getting dehydrated hashbrowns and cooking them. Basically the same thing as Denny's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm Phillippe Bastille:

At one point we had about 10 different kinds of mustard in the fridge and my first (and only) wife had a tantrum and threw them all away because they were taking up so much space. She seems to have forgotten that because every time we go to the store and I try to buy mustard, she's like "We already have too much mustard!" No, Sweetness, we do not, we do not...

yes trader joe's mayonnaise is good. (the organic one) not as good as hellmann's but good.
may favorite is not mayonnaise but "vegenaise" -the grape-seed oil variety. excellent.

"Cut the mustard"?

But Hellman's is in these parts Best Foods, and Best Foods is dreadful. It's whipped, mostly air.

I'd rather put a bird on it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Stanley:

Grain mustard goes well with cheese.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Ike:

Vanilla Ice is sampling or ripping off some NIN "Pretty Hate Machine" noises in there, yeah?

Wouldn't surprise me, Ike, heh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Handy Haversack:

Phillippe, I say that all the time! I use it when paddling, when playing ball. Sometimes even to the cats, just because I can!

Is vegenaise good, Coela? I will try it ...

No truth to the rumor that Three Tenors covered this tune?
Avatar 2:22pm coelacanth∅:

oh - sad, Dean. it's good here, and always on sale. the olive oil one is also good.
the vegenaise is "vegetarian" so one wouldn't expect much but it's excellent and seems to "go farther"; and it keeps a long long time.
-a little expensive but worth it.

i'm not a vegetarian, but i eat a "vegan diet" much more often than not. i have fish 1-2X/week; eggs 1-2X/week;
a little cheese and butter; cream in coffee once/week or 2.
i'd call it moderation but really it's an evolved discipline. it's what works for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Handy Haversack:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Phillippe Bastille:

@spodiodi agreed. Most seafood places around here don't really use it that much, though. There's a cottage industry seafood seasoning thing going on around here that cranks seasoning blends in bulk that are a lot cheaper.
