And given the twisted ankle I got stepping in a foxhole in my yard, I've now stepped onto the pro side of the fox hunting

It's a great memoir so far.

Which tells me I've left out a very important factor, namely, the odds of the song being played at all on any given day. That should be roughly [average no. of songs played per day on WFMU]/[average daily supply of songs in WFMU library]. Call this s/L. The answer to Mary's query, then, is: s/L*365.25 Now, what are the odds that I'm full of shit?

And I was surprised to find admiration for Morrissey in my heart. He'd pushed for a New York Dolls reunion in 2004. I had to think about that, too, Handy. Suppose WFMU plays 10 songs on average a day and that the library consists of 100 tracks. Then the odds of a track being played on any day are 10/100 or 1/10.

And I was surprised to find admiration for Morrissey in my heart. He'd pushed for a New York Dolls reunion in 2004. I had to think about that, too, Handy. Suppose WFMU plays 10 songs on average a day and that the library consists of 100 tracks. Then the odds of a track being played on any day are 10/100 or 1/10.
