Had a tape of Peter Green playing with the Dead in my car in high school, that Spanish Jam > Lovelight was the soundtrack to many stoned teenage nights

I remember the manager of the record store where I worked opening it when it arrived.

was transported back in time (late 90s, i guess?) to when i heard this gorgeous, ethereal rendition of "Albatross" at Star Magic (that kinda "new age" shop that used to be on Broadway, near 8th Street in Manhattan -- although it struck me more as a throwback to some of the "hippie" shops of my youth) . . . i had to ask the shop keeper, "Who is this?!?"
and he shows me B-Tribe's "Suave Suave" CD -- which i immediately bought :)
so NOW, as i am sorting through books, also looking for that CD (yeah, "quarantine organizing" not going as swimmingly as i had hoped, hah!)
(always thought B-Tribe was from Spain, only learned somewhat recently that they were based in Germany)

We marveled at his playing with the Mayall album, and was ready for Fleetood Mac. Lucky to have seen them at the Fillmore East twice.
The Dead and other SF bands greatly influenced his change from the strict blues albums.

I love dropping in on your show on Sunday nights. But, I have to admit (it's my personal problem) Bandcamp always has $20/$30 dollars of mine after midnight. It's reminiscent when you could cruise a record store for 2 hours and just pick up whatever the clerks were playing over the sound system....
