Favoriting July 25, 2020:

Golden Hour of Anatolian Rock

We honor the 55th anniversary of the day Dylan shocked (or at least annoyed) the purists by plugging in at Newport - with a celebration of Turkey's Golden Age of plugged-in folk, which happened to get rolling right around the same time. Starting in the second hour of tonight's show, we'll hear source recordings and some of the electric versions they inspired (with a few more recent adaptations too).

On a different (and off-air) musical note: If you're hankering for some old favorites (or new old favorites) check out the new Transpacific Sound Paradise All-Time African Music Faves Spotify Playlist at http://tiny.cc/wfmu-tsp-african-faves!
