Avatar 1:19pm Wild Honey:

@gaylord I wish!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Matt Fiveash:

Seeing the Hi Rhythm section for the first time at one of the Ponderosa Stomps was a revelation. Those records sound so amazing and I had always though it was due to some special way they mic'd the drums or whatever, but then hearing them it was like: Oh, this is just what these guys sound like when they play, and Willie Mitchell simply had the skills to document it as it was.
  1:20pm Dolemite:

If you don’t dig this mess, you came to the wrong address
Avatar 1:20pm Joe B:

agreed Matt - had the same reaction. speaking of Stomp stars ...
  1:21pm Dungaroos Kipawah:

@Joe: I’m now measuring the length of quarantine by how many times the entire series runs of Adam-12 and Barney Miller get cycled through . . .
  1:22pm frenchee:

How nice to take an interplanetary trip with Uncle Michael!
I continue to be in awe of Uncle Michael's Uncle Jim, btw
  1:22pm Tim:

Love the song Fairchild, there’s another version of it with horns that’s amazing. It’s on the Barnyard Soul comp
Avatar 1:22pm Joe B:

@DK - had no idea barney lasted eight seasons
Avatar 1:23pm Joe B:

@Tim - thanks, I am vaguely familiar with it, will have to revisit
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm zivilars:

I love this show – nothing but good, classic Rock'n'Soul, straight forward. Thanks, Joe!
  1:29pm frenchee:

oops
Avatar 1:29pm Joe B:

thanks ziv!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm McGroovey:

Was that the squarest Tobacco Road ever?
  1:33pm Dungaroos Kipawah:

@Joe: had no idea that there’s like 3-4 diff variations of the “Barney Miller” theme song. Well I hope the fall season brings back “Emergency,” “Kojak” and “The Odd Couple.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Glynis GirlGroupGirl:

The Chicks were like 15, they had no idea what they were singing about!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm McGroovey:

Avatar 1:50pm Joe B:

thanks Candy-O!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm McGroovey:

Huh. The Gems song was playing, and I got stop and then play and now it's current again.

I played a few minutes of gov. Murphy's daily show, and I guess the stream picked up where I interrupted it, rather than at its current moment.

So I missed the Sharon Jones song.
  1:52pm Dungaroos Kipawah:

At long last, Telly! I’ve been waiting so many years. Will my fervent prayers finally be answered?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm McGroovey:
