	♥ 4:41pm northguineahills: Wearing a mask in FL weather is a lot of fun (but here it really is a political stance. In more liberal settings, Orlando, Gainesville, and near downtown Jax, you'll see them, outside of said locations I mentioned, you'll get the side-eye wearing the mask, as they are rate). Outside of family, I can't remember the last time I've been in a social setting w/ more then 3 people.

	♥ 4:59pm Stanlé: It's a way of like chresti! But hard work considering the amount of chewing to get the required speedy buzz. And a bit fiddly, as you have to carefully with your teeth, peel the skin off the stalks. You get through a big bunch in an afternoon.

	♥ 5:02pm Stanlé: ngh - I never got on with the ol' bettel nuts. For starters, in addition to good teeth, you need a load of lime in the gob to get the betel to do it's thing. End up with one messed up mouth.

	♥ 5:11pm northguineahills: I've heard that khat is near the adderal middle of the caffeine to the blow scale. So, since it's organic, usually only habitual users have to worry about gum disease/cancer.

	♥ 5:17pm WR: In my neighborhood paan with betal is sold by several street vendors and in a couple of shops. All the ingredients are available in local stores. I often see on the sidewalk or curb the bright red spittle as pictured on wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org... I tried it a couple times. Both by buying the paan from a vendor and also bought a box of the "nuts" to try at home. Not to my taste in any way.

The nuts I bought were from a Ayurveda / religious talisman / book store. I did my experimentation about 15 or more years ago. So have not looked for the nuts since then.

In more liberal settings, Orlando, Gainesville, and near downtown Jax, you'll see them, outside of said locations I mentioned, you'll get the side-eye wearing the mask, as they are rate). Outside of family, I can't remember the last time I've been in a social setting w/ more then 3 people.
