I usually try to look at a lot of year end Best Of lists, and watch for albums/performers that turn up on a few lists, read a bit, and check them out. Kris Davis was the most recent artist I turned up that way.

Here's an entry in OED for "list" worth pondering:

Horse Racing slang. Short for: The list of geldings in training. Hence to put on the list = to castrate.

Don't easy 8 hours straight, just have an 8 hour window that I eat in (started with 12-14 hour fasts, then upper it to 16). Not for everyone (obviously), but my wife's metabolic labs (cholesterol, insulin, sugar, etc) improved markedly on it.

@doctorJ, does "eating" including drinking beer? Even fine craft beer???
  11:40am

Except *the* (U.S.) Supreme Court doesn't issue verdicts. Some Supreme Courts, e.g., New York's, are in fact not the jurisdiction's highest court. The NY Supreme Court is the state's trial court, which does issue verdicts. And they say ignorance of the law is no excuse!
Avatar 🦀 11:41am
