Good afternoon from the isthmus.
Avatar 12:02pm Mary Wing:

Hello Brian, right on time!
Avatar 12:03pm Sem:

Hello, Mary, Queen of the Dingdom, βrian, overseer of the isthmus. Greets from the fogged-in Bay of Fundy, where dings are pretty much the same, day after day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Carmichael:

Heya Mary and Wingnuts. Due to hit 103 out here today. Beer and pool come to mind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Ken From Hyde Park:

One ringy-dingy, two ringy-dingy. Snort!

  12:07pm chresti @griffith Park:

Hi Mary and wingdingers! Came out to the parking lot to wave hello! Hot today..
Avatar 12:08pm Mary Wing:

Hiya Sem, Carmichael, Ken, Jake, and Malcolm! Let's whatever together in isolation!
Avatar 12:08pm Malcolm:

hey mary and all :D
Avatar 12:08pm Mary Wing:

Good morning chresti! How hot are we talking, there?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm Carmichael:

See above, chresti. Hotter than hot today. Stay inside and "hydrate", wink wink nudge nudge.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm Carmichael:

Chresti's in LA, I'm in Sacramento. So we share the same general weather patterns.
  12:11pm Really Lisa:

Hi Mary and 100% of everyone else.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Ken From Hyde Park:

How hot is it?
It’s so hot, I saw a robin using a potholder to pull a worm out of the ground.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Handy Haversack:

Hi, Mary, 100 Percent Wingnuts! Sorry I'm late. Work meeting ran over.
  12:13pm JakeGould:

@KenFromHydePark: THAT IS SOOOOO GOOOOD!!! Great imagery too.
Avatar 12:14pm Mary Wing:

Howdy Lisa and Handy! Oh, that pesky job thing, eh?
  12:15pm rw:

Avatar 12:16pm Mary Wing:

Good morning rw! Off to work?
  12:16pm rw:

Working from home today! If I go slowly enough, I'll be able to catch the entirety of 100%!!
  12:17pm rw:

Let's tear this damn place up.
Swag For Life Member 12:20pm spodiodi:

heard Lux calling me... good day, Mary Wing and the 100%
  12:20pm JakeGould:

“The Cramps” were the best cover band you did realize sang covers because they so owned what they covered it’s amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Mary, 100%ers
Avatar 12:23pm Mary Wing:

Hiya spodiodi and coleacanth!

Heh, that is so true, Jake!
Swag For Life Member 12:23pm spodiodi:

aloha, coelacanth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm Handy Haversack:

100 percent, Jake.
Avatar 12:24pm Hubig Pie:

It's so hot.....
I saw a chicken lay an omelette
  12:26pm JakeGould:

It’s so hot that the chicken didn’t cross the road because it had no air conditioning.
Avatar 12:27pm Hubig Pie:

I saw the Devil at the Walmart buying an air conditioner
  12:27pm JakeGould:

It’s so hot that when Humpty Dumpty fell of the wall, all the kings horses and all the kings men just feasted on Humpty Dumpty omelettes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm Carmichael:

It's so hot that the chickens were laying omelettes.

(Thanks Johnny Carson)
  12:29pm JakeGould:

It’s so hot that Jack and Jill went up the hill to get a bucket of water and never came down.
Avatar 12:29pm Hubig Pie:

The cows are giving powdered milk
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Carmichael:

It was so hot that in Central Park the squirrels were putting SPF on their nuts.

(Thanks David Letterman)
Avatar 12:30pm βrian:

Omelettes? Oeuf!
Avatar 12:32pm Mary Wing:

Hiya Hubig! An omelette sounds pretty good right about now...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm coelacanth∅:

make mine mushroom, onion & swiss please
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm coelacanth∅:

hey spodiodi!
Swag For Life Member 12:34pm spodiodi:

KenFHP, your joke kills me. I'll never forget it -- the imagery it conjures will endure.
Avatar 12:35pm Hubig Pie:

Feta , spinach, cherry tomato a fine omelette makes
  12:35pm JakeGould:

@Carmichael: NOW THAT IS FUNNY!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Carmichael:

We're goin' all avant ghetto here, he he .
  12:36pm JakeGould:

If your omelette is just some kind of anthropomorphic egg person that fell down and died, you really don’t have too much choice about ingredients.
Avatar 12:36pm Mary Wing:

Heh. No Dead, though; or at least, not today, Carm. :-)
Avatar 12:38pm Malcolm:

this dire wolfs track is fantastic!
Avatar 12:38pm βrian:

Not too crazy hot on the isthmus. Almost time to go for bike ride with 6-yr-old.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm coelacanth∅:

speaking of omelettes the baby birds have flown from the hole in the edge of the roof over my door -except one, of course, which is walking/flailing around my porch.
i don't think it has much of a chance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Michael 98145:

peace, all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm fleep:

Swag For Life Member 12:41pm spodiodi:

poor lil birdie... maybe he just needs a potholder.
(found such a bird as a kid, and foolishly tried to scoop it up to "save" it in a shoe box. called the local nature center and they told me "SOL, kid... but probably was a goner anyway".)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm Carmichael:

That's good news, Mary. :)
Swag For Life Member 12:42pm spodiodi:

aloha, Michael, fleep. peace
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm Handy Haversack:

It's so hot that we don't walk the dog so much as pour him.
Avatar 12:44pm βrian:

Put him in a bun, yo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Carmichael:

But he would NOT be a sandwich.
Avatar 12:46pm Mary Wing:

Good morning Michael and fleep!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Michael 98145:

R2D2 Dance
Avatar 12:48pm βrian:

Wait, a hot dog isn't a sandwich now?
Avatar 12:48pm Mary Wing:

We had a little bird like that at my office; fell out of its nest next to our back patio. The mother bird kept coming to check on it but eventually left it to die, sadly.
  12:49pm JakeGould:

It’s so hot that I had to wrap the dog up in a bun and put some mustard and sauerkraut on the poor thing to make him feel appropriate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm Michael 98145:

our local cats and crows would clean things, so to speak.
Avatar 12:50pm Hubig Pie:

It's so hot.....
I saw two trees fighting over a dog
  12:51pm JakeGould:

It’s so hot that the fire hydrant peed on the dog and the dog was fine with that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm Michael 98145:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm coelacanth∅:

who knows, maybe it'll make it. it's starting to rain here though, which probably wont help it's situation. and there's a cat around, a dog, big grounhogs, raccoons, raptors...
...i took a sound recording of them yesterday for a while; i knew they were jumping today. it sounded like 4 birds so i guess the other 3 are up in the trees now.
i haven't seen the mother come back, but maybe she's watching from across the driveway, where she used to yell at me because she needed to get past me to feed them
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Carmichael:

Happy Birthday to Ian Hunter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm coelacanth∅:

Michael yeah, that's nature. as long as it doesn't get spooked and get behind something on the porch and get stuck. that'd suck for everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Michael 98145:

Avatar 12:58pm Mary Wing:

All I could hear in that Moon Duo track was Nightclubbing, heh. Hence, the segue.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Handy Haversack:

For a vegetarian, Rents, you're a fucking evil shot.
  1:00pm Dean:

The average dog's body temperature is 101.5F. A splash of fresh urine so warm will not be refreshing on a hot day.
Avatar 1:01pm Mary Wing:

Hi Dean, a splash of fresh urine will not be refreshing on ANY DAY!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm Carmichael:

Boy, this board needs to be reset ... :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm coelacanth∅:

-especially dog urine
  1:02pm Dean:

I'm only trying to import a modicum of reason to humor.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm Handy Haversack:

Carmichael, I'm afraid the dial is stuck at dog urine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm coelacanth∅:

could be worse. could be cat urine.
Avatar 1:04pm Mary Wing:

Taxes are actually due on July 15th, so I can slack off for another few weeks, heh.
  1:04pm Dean:

That's right. It's a ratchet effect. It can only get worse...
Swag For Life Member 1:04pm spodiodi:

cat pee :(
  1:05pm rw:

Mary, is this show pre-recorded or are you typing and talking at the same time?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm Handy Haversack:

Yeah, coela, that would be a moan, yuh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm coelacanth∅:

hmm, taxes...
pay them? < ... > don't pay them?
Avatar 1:07pm Mary Wing:

It was recorded on Sunday, rw.
  1:09pm JakeGould:

@Mary: So you recorded it last month? Ha! See what I did?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm coelacanth∅:

Handy - or a gag, some coughs and a lasting cringe and swift maneuvers to attain cleanliness
  1:09pm rw:

So much has happened since Sunday!
Avatar 1:12pm Mary Wing:

Yeah, no kidding, rw...

The music of last month... TODAY, Jake!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm Handy Haversack:

I can see through time!
Avatar 1:14pm Mary Wing:

I can see that it's lunch time for me, heh.
  1:16pm JakeGould:

@MaryWing: Maybe an idea for a new WFMU show in this socially distanced times is “Day Old Tunes?”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm coelacanth∅:

where the hell's my omelette?!
45 minutes!
my coffee's cold!
no tip, the service here sucks! don't you have ac in this place?!
people should never have to wait so long for their food!
Avatar 1:16pm Bas NL:

Hello Mary and Total Somethingers! Got held up!
Avatar 1:18pm Sem:

The food here is poison.
And look how small the portions are!
Swag For Life Member 1:18pm spodiodi:

aloha, Bas.
coel, you might ask to speak with the manager
Swag For Life Member 1:18pm spodiodi:

lol Sem
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm coelacanth∅:

right?! wait,what?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm coelacanth∅:

(and it's so damned crowded; no wonder no one comes here any more)
  1:21pm JakeGould:

@Sem: “Don’t drink the milk! It’s spoiled!” youtu.be...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Handy Haversack:

Was it the bells, Bas? Are they making it personal?
Avatar 1:21pm Mary Wing:

Hi Bas!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Stanley:

Hi Sem. What you are saying is it's inedible muck and not enough of it?
  1:22pm JakeGould:

“You kids put that milk on your mush and eat it… Eeeaaaaghh!” What a creepy lady.
Avatar 1:24pm Sem:

Just so, Stanley.

"Mom, why don't you ever buy orange juice?"
"You'll just drink it all."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm coelacanth∅:

Avatar 1:25pm Bas NL:

I think i last heard the bells on Whitsun.. i think they pulled the plug now. ;(
Avatar 1:25pm Roberto:

Every time Mary plays the Eels I think, why don't more WFMU DJs play the Eels?
Avatar 1:26pm Sem:

@coel: one of the best Berra lines. Thas for that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Stanley:

Generally speaking, when I've eaten something I don't want to see it again.
Avatar 1:27pm Sem:

Fastidious, Stanley. But not so cat like...
Avatar 1:27pm Mary Wing:

Hello Stanley and Roberto! I think the same thing whenever I plat the Eels, heh.
Avatar 1:27pm Roberto:

Wait, did someone mention cat pee?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm coelacanth∅:

Sem hopefully i'm forgiven for modifying it
Avatar 1:28pm Hubig Pie:

A few shots of mezcal and I might become a bus stop boxer too
Avatar 1:28pm Bas NL:

Should have been on the beach today for work, but that was deemed not essential enough.. so working at home on this beautiful sunny day.
Swag For Life Member 1:29pm spodiodi:

yeah, Hubig -- Tequila makes me aggro-loco as well
Avatar 1:29pm david w:

Another vote for mezcal! Hello Mary, and all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm coelacanth∅:

...and Sem (@1.18) that Yogi also?
(if not it could be!)
Avatar 1:30pm Bas NL:

Window open, great music... :)
Avatar 1:30pm Mary Wing:

Moving the topic momentarily away from urine, can folks recommend some movies to watch? I am trying to catch up on older films.
Avatar 1:31pm Mary Wing:

Hiya David! How the situation in your neighborhood?
Swag For Life Member 1:31pm spodiodi:

windows closed here, blinds closed, curtains drawn... going up to 74F here today... tryna beat the heat (again) (boohoo)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm Handy Haversack:

Mary, show and set are really wonderful today.

Older like Grand Illusion? Or older like French Connection? Or older like Spanglish?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Swag For Life Member 1:32pm spodiodi:

It's a Wonderful Life
Avatar 1:32pm Sem:

@coel: attributed to him, but I think he and Sam Goldwyn had the same writer.
"Mr. Goldwyn, can we throw these old files out?"
"Sure, just make copies first."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm coelacanth∅:

i think the most tequila i've ever had in an evening is 3 shots so i don't know if it makes me loco or aggro
Swag For Life Member 1:33pm spodiodi:

"Network" -- idea stolen from DJ Time Traveler's show this morning
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm coelacanth∅:

Sem hahaha!
Avatar 1:34pm Roberto:

My dad was in an early production of Cat as Brick. Also, my cat peed on the floor last week. Hopefully it was an isolated pee-cedent.
Avatar 1:35pm Mary Wing:

Not super-old, Handy, and maybe not the classics, either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm coelacanth∅:

there's no getting out of this litter box
Swag For Life Member 1:36pm spodiodi:

i don't drink it any more, but when i did, i would jump up on things/climb (pre-parkour craze), and kick the air, etc.
Swag For Life Member 1:37pm spodiodi:

and say things like "tomorrow, we fight... tonight... WE DRINK!"
Swag For Life Member 1:37pm spodiodi:

i'm all kinds of endearing, no?
  1:37pm JakeGould:

Hey Mary! Ding! I’m catching up on the classics from Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney. My “recents” in my Movies on my iPhone include:

• White Heat (1949)
• Angels with Dirty Faces (1938)
• The Public Enemy (1931)
• Key Largo (1948)
• The Big Sleep (1946)
• To Have and Have Not (1944)
• The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1938)
• The Maltese Falcon (1941)
• Casablanca (1942)

Also a pile of Buster Keaton films such as:
• Seven Chances (1925)
• The General (1926)
• Go West (1925)
Avatar 1:38pm Sem:

Mary, YouTube as of last night had Luis Buñuel's
The Discrete Charm of the Bourgeoisie.
Swag For Life Member 1:38pm spodiodi:

Orfeón Gagarin is good (for me)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm coelacanth∅:

haha spodi!
  1:40pm JakeGould:

That said “Key Largo” and “To Have and Have Not” both kinda suck. But “To Have and Have Not” — I believe — is the first pairing of Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart. So their interactions are great. The movie as a whole is forgettable.
Swag For Life Member 1:41pm spodiodi:

this Anne-James Chaton & Andy Moor is also hitting me in the ears just right
Swag For Life Member 1:42pm spodiodi:

Mary, I just thought of another: Captain Ron
Avatar 1:42pm david w:

Wiilamsburg, Brooklyn: many stores boarded up, streetlife mainly strollers, joggers, dogwalkers, 90% masks. Calm but not happy. And Bunuel yes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm Handy Haversack:

Me, too, spod.
  1:43pm JakeGould:

Others films that are recent classics are “Paper Moon” and “Dancer in the Dark.” I rewatched Coppola’s “One from the Heart” and it’s visually stunning (the film was filmed all on set and with miniatures) but the story doesn’t make you care about any of the characters.
Avatar 1:44pm Mary Wing:

At first I thought they were only saying train stations of the Boston transit system, but now I realize they are saying stations from many different cities, heh.
  1:45pm JakeGould:

And for a dark laugh the classic “Frankenstein” and “Bride of Frankenstein” both hold up well. Boris Karloff’s perfect goofy acting makes it all work.
  1:47pm Dean:

Tom Waits and Crystal Gayle...what a pair.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm Ken From Hyde Park:

You may enjoy "of Oz The Wizard" - www.vimeo.com...
Avatar 1:47pm Mary Wing:

I don't think I could sit through Dancer in The Dark; Von Trier lost me as a fan somewhere along the way.
Avatar 1:48pm Mary Wing:

Love of Oz The Wizard!!
  1:49pm JakeGould:

@Mary: I personally think Lars Von Trier is a creep. But Bjork plaiting an immigrant factory worker in the Pacific Northwest being treated like crap and finding solace in musicals might be the best use of that creeps abusive (woman hating) tendencies.
Swag For Life Member 1:50pm spodiodi:

KenFHP, thanks for that link... first i've heard of it. bookmarked for later :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Hey Whatevers! Here on the board before 3oaK. Too wet out to attempt gardening.
Avatar 1:51pm Mary Wing:

Even so, Jake, it would be very far down on the list of movies to watch for me.
Avatar 1:52pm Listening Out There:

OK, I'm weird. I, uh, read. Oh, but I did watch a couple of pre-code, film noir films through the Internet Archive. Please don't report me for such behavior. :)
Swag For Life Member 1:53pm spodiodi:

aloha, KevinfrombayRidge, LOT
Avatar 1:53pm Mary Wing:

Hi Kevin and LOT! Yeah, I thought the rain wasn't coming until later on, it's really coming down now!
Swag For Life Member 1:54pm spodiodi:

great set Mary
  1:55pm JakeGould:

Then on the positive side of things:

• My Bodyguard (1980)
• Breaking Away (1979)
• Mystery Train (1989)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Michael 98145:

beating that manifesto
Avatar 1:55pm Mary Wing:

Aw man, I love ALL of those, Jake!
Swag For Life Member 1:56pm spodiodi:

yeah, those are good, Jake
  1:57pm JakeGould:

Then you have gooooooood taste!

I still can close my eyes and laugh at the opening Japanese tourist sequence in “Mystery Train” where they come across that dumpy hotel with a hooker screaming nonsense and the Japanse woman smiles and simply says, “That looks like a fun place!”
Avatar 1:57pm Mary Wing:

I watched this adorable Australian film from 1982 last week called Starstruck, directed by Gillian Armstrong. So campy! So 80s!
Swag For Life Member 1:57pm spodiodi:

go cutters!
Swag For Life Member 1:58pm spodiodi:

i like it when they're arguing about Carl Perkins vs Elvis Presley
Avatar 1:58pm Mary Wing:

You're not a cutter, *I'M* a cutter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm Michael 98145:

Loved Mystery Train
  1:59pm JakeGould:

@spodiodi: Lots of good scenes in that film, but but fave is when the main kid races a truck down the highway and the driver is letting him know how fast he’s going sticking his hand out the window. That kinda of implicit working class bond with strangers… So good.
Swag For Life Member 1:59pm spodiodi:

speaking of arguing... how long have we all been cooped-up? :D :D :D
Swag For Life Member 2:01pm spodiodi:

Saint Strummer is great as "Elvis"... and the interactions between the front desk clerk and bellhop
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Carmichael:

77 days for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Handy Haversack:

They did London and NYC, too. I def. heard Kingston Throop (also the name of my longest-lived Call of Cthulhu character). Didn't hear any for Manhattan.
  2:02pm JakeGould:

@spodiodi: 12+ weeks (86 days) here! Started on March 9th for me.
I want a t-shirt or merit badge for that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Michael 98145:

badges would be nice
Swag For Life Member 2:03pm spodiodi:

i'll work on a shirt, Jake
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Carmichael:

"I survived COVID19 and all I got was this stupid looted T shirt."
Avatar 2:04pm Mary Wing:

Hah, Carmichael.
Avatar 2:04pm Mary Wing:

How about a mask with a movable calendar date on it?
Avatar 2:05pm βrian:

There's got to be a Branch Covidians joke here, but I'm not seeing it ...
Swag For Life Member 2:05pm spodiodi:

or a bunch of marks for days, like on the wall of a prison cell, Mary
Avatar 2:05pm Sem:

Tattooed mouth masks.
Swag For Life Member 2:06pm spodiodi:

βrian... yes. yes. yes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Handy Haversack:

Or a design of a window, adding one bar for each day spent looking out it.
Avatar 2:06pm βrian:

@spodiodi: I've got 79 on my home office wall now.
Swag For Life Member 2:06pm spodiodi:

we bought a pack of 6 washable masks -- and they're too small for my Leno-chin :(
Swag For Life Member 2:07pm spodiodi:

and maybe a little too big for queenofspodiodi
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Ken From Hyde Park:

At roughly, the 21:45 mark, they Oz movie said "ding."
Swag For Life Member 2:08pm spodiodi:

that window could end up looking more like a wall, Handy (sigh)
Avatar 2:10pm Mary Wing:

I wish someone would create a mask/double-chin strap for those of us who are jowly, heh. Something like this but with nose/mouth coverage:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm Handy Haversack:

spod, yeah. That's how they get ya.

Kate made like 20 masks out of my old undershirts and elastic she had left over from a (mask-making!) project.
Swag For Life Member 2:10pm spodiodi:

unfamiliar 3OAK -- thank you, Mary!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm Michael 98145:

yes. never heard any of this before now.
Swag For Life Member 2:11pm spodiodi:

KenFHP, i'll pay attention, hah, thanks again
Avatar 2:12pm Mary Wing:

Just listen to Mary Margaret O'hara, is my suggestion.
Swag For Life Member 2:14pm spodiodi:

looks practical, Mary, but maybe a little "Gimpy" 8^O
(at least that's what i thought of)
Avatar 2:16pm Mary Wing:

Heh. The eyes would have to be covered for it to be gimpy, no?
Swag For Life Member 2:16pm spodiodi:

down to 45 minutes left? 100% time flew past
Swag For Life Member 2:16pm spodiodi:

a zipper here, a buckle there... accessory options!
Swag For Life Member 2:22pm spodiodi:

Handy @210, do you have a favorite?
Avatar 2:24pm βrian:

Used underwear masks help with the social distancing.
Swag For Life Member 2:26pm spodiodi:

esp. w/racing stripes, i'll bet, βrian
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm Summer and Michael and Sylvia:

Hello, Mary! Loving the show... and the rain.
Avatar 2:28pm Mary Wing:

Hiya S&M&S! It stopped raining where I am, for the moment.
Avatar 2:29pm Mary Wing:

"Racing stripes" heh. I think they are also called skidmarks, no?
Swag For Life Member 2:31pm spodiodi:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Handy Haversack:

If there are skidmarks on my undershirts, I'm doing *something* wrong.
Swag For Life Member 2:33pm spodiodi:

i'm a dirty underwear is half-full kind of person, i guess, Mary :)
  2:33pm rw:

This song sounds so good on the radio. Cale
Swag For Life Member 2:33pm spodiodi:

lol Handy (or they are very long)
Avatar 2:35pm Mary Wing:

Yeah, long-tail undershirts run that risk.
  2:35pm JakeGould:

Stop it.
  2:35pm rw:

Has anyone ever tried cooking bacon on a bbq? I’m tempted to try it.
Swag For Life Member 2:35pm spodiodi:

sounds like a call to the fire dept to me, rw
  2:35pm rw:

And what Jake said.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm Carmichael:

@rw, I do it using tinfoil with holes punched in.
  2:38pm rw:

Okay. Against better judgment I’m going to try. Wish me luck.
Swag For Life Member 2:39pm spodiodi:

good luck, rw
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm Carmichael:

Just keep an eye on your grease trap and you'll be fine.
  2:40pm rw:

Avatar 2:41pm Mary Wing:

I hope you're grilling other things as well, rw? Seems like a lot of work just for bacon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm Summer and Michael and Sylvia:

Liking the Laura Veirs, Mary! Just stopped here too but the air smells nice and post-rain fresh.
Avatar 2:45pm Mary Wing:

Yes, I like the post-rain smell, and the pre-rain smell when the wind first picks up.
Avatar 2:46pm βrian:

Our local covid numbers are looking pretty good right now. That may well change in a week or two.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Doug Schulkind:

I second the Laura Veirs love, Mary! And all the other loves.
Avatar 2:48pm Mary Wing:

And now, the weirdest song of the entire show, heh.
Avatar 2:49pm Mary Wing:

Hiya Doug!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm WR:

Someone said Weird?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Handy Haversack:

Kate: "Oh! I like *this*!"

Hey there WR, have you been lurking this whole time?
Avatar 2:53pm Sem:

Been dinglicious, with whipped cream on top. Thank you, Mary. Catch you and all up next time, civil strife and whatnot notwithstanding.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm WR:

Sorta, working and volume down low. Logged into playlist because about to break for lunch.
Swag For Life Member 2:54pm spodiodi:

Avatar 2:54pm Mary Wing:

Don't hurry off just yet, Sem...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm WR:

Thank you for the show today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm Doug Schulkind:

My darlings, the Drummer Stream rolls on after 100% Whatever (if that's even possible!).

Ridgewood Radio with David Weinstein (and Ruth!) is next. Tune in for "Safe & Sound & Justice": A couple hours of stunning collaborations from recent performances by Mary Halvorson & John Dieterich and the Brandon Lopez Trio. Beautiful examples celebrating mutual support and individual voices. Plus Captain Beefheart.
