A two-hour exploration of excavations from the farthest reaches of humanity's hellish collective brain, through records, tapes, CDs, mostly scoured from country bumpkin thrift stores, creepy charity shops, backwoods junk stores, and even the internet - all mixed live. We don't judge, we just play 'em. Hosted by Rich in Washington.

Hi Mr. Fab!
Avatar 7:05pm Don-O:

I'm tempted to download all of them from Archive.oeg, but I dn't think my PC and internet can handle it all.
Avatar 7:06pm Mr Fab:

i first discovered the great Peter (pronounced “Pett-er Thomas” btw) via a 25 cent copy of the wonderfully whacked “Chariots of the Gods?” soundtrack.
Avatar 7:08pm Don-O:

....not 'Pet-au'?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm ultradamno:

...or maybe 78, I don't remember what speed the Sluggin' record was set for in a pinch
Avatar 7:37pm ironybread:

INFERMO: Well, well, Ned, unlike most demon expulsion machines, The DevilMaster by Infermco totally rotates the entire upper body while the head remains stationary.
TONY: Oooh!
NED: Ah-hah!
INFERMO: Its eyes fixed on the money it’s going to make—no! On the money you’re going to make.
TONY: Wait a minute, wait a minute!
TONY / NED: Are you saying—
ALL: “Out demons, out and in profits in?”
INFERMO: Yes, I am.
TONY: That’s wonderful!
NED: That’s incredible!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm Kat in Chicago:

Ah, those lazy hazy crazy days of Wax Trax.

  7:49pm Yvang:

Hi, Rich and diggers! I dig the rythms!
Avatar 7:49pm recordrouletteclub:

This reminds me of a song that was on GTA 1 back in the day.
Avatar 7:49pm ironybread:

Every station in America needs to start ever hour of programming with some track by Meat Beat Manifesto.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm Rich in Washington:

Yvang! Howdy!
Hi recordrouletteclub!
Avatar 7:50pm recordrouletteclub:

I'm diggin' the show!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm Rich in Washington:

Ultradamno, you're great with those music list things!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm Rich in Washington:

Thanks, recordrouletteclub!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm ultradamno:

Thank you Rich
Avatar 7:52pm Mr Fab:

Ultradamno, that’s really funny.

Hey, Danny! I just listen to RRC in the archives now that I’m Papa Homeschooler. (Wasn’t Papa Homeschooler a reggae dancehall singer?)
Avatar 7:53pm recordrouletteclub:

Hahah!! Sounds like it. Good guesssss!!
Avatar 7:54pm Mailman Tom:

I saw Meat Beat Manifest in New Haven in the early 1990s. Also on the bill was 808 State.
Avatar 7:55pm ironybread:

Does Jack Dangers perform live anymore? I mean, in universes where there isn't an active pandemic
  7:55pm CC:

Man..!..what a beat!!!!...
Avatar 7:56pm Mr Fab:

I was so into hiphop during this period, I never really heard this kinda thing much. I was sNobbish about white guys with drum machines. Give that 808 to Jammaster Jay, durn it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm ultradamno:

Thanks Fab. Say, it's World Goth Day are things about to get spooky?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm ultradamno:

I mean spookier than melonbaby, if that's possible.
Avatar 7:59pm recordrouletteclub:

My favorite drum machine programmer / producer hands down was Kurtis Mantronik.
  8:00pm CC:

nothing is really as it seems..!.. so don't fall for it!!!!...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01pm Rich in Washington:

I too have lost track of what Jack Danger's been up to. Amazing producer, and yes, his drums!
I think the last thing he did that I was aware of was that Drums of Death thing with DJ Spooky. At least I think he was on that. Not sure.
Avatar 8:03pm Martinibomb:

I saw some post of his sampler rack -- a couple racks just full of old samplers he uses for live shows and everything else
Avatar 8:04pm Mr Fab:

Funny you should mention: new Sheena’s show dedicated to vintage Halloween spookiness (and other mysterious sounds) “The Clock Strikes Midnight” debuts this Tuesday, following Otis Fodder.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm Kat in Chicago:

I bought some new Meat Beat Manifesto off Bandcamp a couple of years ago I thinK? I believe he does still perform as well.
  8:06pm CC:

Like tribal!!!
Avatar 8:06pm Mailman Tom:

Also saw Moses On Acid in the early 90s. Cool band!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm Otis:

Still listening on the couch with the gal and cats. Cool Bran Flakes action + excited for Tuesday!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm Kat in Chicago:

So the clock will strike midnight in the early afternoon on Tuesdays?
  8:08pm CC:

A great name for a band would be 'Tribal Kabal'?!?
Avatar 8:11pm Mr Fab:

Well Kat, you know how people say it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere in the world? Same goes for midnight!
  8:11pm CC:

or 'Cabal'...???...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm ARB:

I just realized it's Friday, Hi! watermelon is my favorite, especially cannibal watermelon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm Rich in Washington:

ARB!
Avatar 8:15pm ironybread:

I'm embarrassed by some of my music loves from the 1990s, but not Meat Beat Manifesto. "DV8" is good enough to strip paint and will be from now until the end of time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm ARB:

A new Sheenas show next week?!? Marvelous news!
Avatar 8:17pm spodiodi:

hey Rich!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm ARB:

  8:18pm ParUbi ¤¤¤¤:

Hey all again
Avatar 8:19pm Mr Fab:

Yeah, talk about it, Rich! “The Clock Strikes Midnight” premiers this Tue.
Avatar 8:19pm Mailman Tom:

I saw My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult at the Palace Theater in New Haven back in the early 90s. The bus destination sign read: Hide Your Daughters
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19pm ParUbi:

Always a party!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19pm ARB:

Hi Granny! Hi DadUbi!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

That's Mr Fab, me & ParUbi in htree-part harmony in the background!

And for the Willy Loman school for boys...Monday: Oysters frightened by chickens. Squares. Toads in a blanket in a hole. Mother's milk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

ARB! So lovely to see you here.
  8:21pm CC:

everything's still sounds messed up to me???
Avatar 8:22pm Mailman Tom:

I don't think Mr. Lewis would like this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm ParUbi:

Sonarb!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm Rich in Washington:

@CC: you mean beyond what I'm playing?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm Rich in Washington:

Boneless burritos. That one always gets me.
Avatar 8:24pm Mr Fab:

Jerry Lee Lewis: last of the ‘50s rockers?
Avatar 8:25pm ironybread:

I can't believe Richard Trythall brought these noises into the world in 1975
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm Rich in Washington:

Indeed!
  8:26pm CC:

oh I see...it must be some kind of avant-garde mix???
Avatar 8:26pm ironybread:

"The studio I used contained five Revox tape recorders, filters, a spring reverb, and 2 DBX Noise Reduction units. No synthesizer, other sound sources or processing devices were used in the production of the material"
Avatar 8:29pm ironybread:

Holy cow, INSTANTLY adding this to my want list
Avatar 8:29pm Don-O:

Alright, I'm back eating some Shepherds Pie and Tea.....
Avatar 8:30pm Martinibomb:

You're suppose to pour hot water over the tea first. What kind of monster shoves tea down their gob?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm ARB:

There's more than a billion ways to milk a bat.
Avatar 8:52pm Don-O:
