“Little Records” is a two hour radio show hosted by “The Big G” focusing on the little Records, both literal and figurative. 45’s of high quality but lowly chart stature. Mostly we’ll be covering Blues, Jazz, R&B, Country and Rock & Roll, but the show is freeform so anything that’s appeared on a 45RPM record, starting with RCA’s introduction of the format in 1949 is fair game.

Avatar 8:07pm The Big G:

Hi SOP!
Avatar 8:12pm The Big G:

I don’t happen to have a television but I do wonder what might be happening in the epic early 70’s monster movie Gargoyles right about now.
Avatar 8:13pm Mailman Tom:

That's not the Lulu who sang To Sir With Love, is it?
Avatar 8:14pm The Big G:

Different Lulu, but just as iconic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm dave wuz here:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm Gaylord Fields:

Big G: His 1965 remake of Sixteen Tons is on that short list of artists successfully remaking their hit record.
Avatar 8:31pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

@The Big G: Are you talking about Tennessee Ernie Ford or Layton Redell Zbornik Jr.?
Avatar 8:33pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

@Gaylord: We are all waiting for you to redo "Squat With Me" so we can add another to that list.
  8:33pm Dungaroos Kipawah:

Y'know I don't remember GARGOYLES being this good--and I loved it when I was 7. Rich, compelling stuff--esp. the soundtrack.

Avatar 8:58pm The Big G:

Yeah Dave, what instrument is that I wonder
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm Gaylord Fields:

I'll give "Gargoyles" this on the realism front: The title monsters certainly run as if they're made of stone.
Avatar 9:01pm The Big G:

Gaylord: The slo-mo effect. Ever present in the TAv series Incredible hulk
Avatar 9:02pm The Big G:

The early seventies special effects pallet was limited
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04pm Gaylord Fields:

I come here for the Bobby Hebb b-sides!
Avatar 9:05pm The Big G:

We got em!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:05pm Gaylord Fields:

@The Big G: I sure hope there was a slo-mo echoing roar to accompany the scene.
Avatar 9:06pm The Big G:
