Good morning, Otis! I'm very early for a change. Hopefully the stream behaves today :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55am Jan Turkenburg:

waiting for the show to begin. Is the stream down?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56am Otis Fodder:

Hi Hopey. Let's test this stream out. If it fails, we can imagine some sort of Tuesday morning sound collage performance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am Jan Turkenburg:

Ah, I hear Otis'street sounds!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00am Hopey Sockmonkey:

The stream didn't seem to be up earlier, I'm so glad to hear the sounds from the window!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am Otis Fodder:

Oh good, happy the stream is working. Do let me know if there are any outages and I can try some magic disco machine madness on my end.
Avatar 11:04am Cp304:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20am Otis Fodder:

Mood... record piles here. Really mellow. Medium songwriter mellow, vibes. Vanity 6 pop to Cure stuff. Soul/Funk. Acid headcase trip? Ghosts?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am chresti:

Morning Otis and friends!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am Jan Duggyburg:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am Otis Fodder:

Morning all. Upbeat mix going forward. Fun!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am Kat in Chicago:

Hi Jan!
Avatar 11:30am Martinibomb:

Hi Otis - got ya streaming thru good ol' winamp
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am Kat in Chicago:

Winamp! That still exists? I used to kind of like it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am Otis Fodder:

Nice MB! My player of choice!!
Avatar 11:33am Martinibomb:

@Otis I wish I could bring up a webpage/chat in Winamp -- like a little window. It used to open webpages but I think it's too old now.
Avatar 11:34am Cp304:

Ha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am Kat in Chicago:

Scratch mix?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am Otis Fodder:

Ha, my little kitty hit the needle. Ooooh, something moving. I'm on turntable watch now. Ha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Kat in Chicago:

Cats are wonderful but they are terrible DJs
Avatar 11:37am Cp304:

Wow, that girl is spitting fire
Avatar 11:42am Mr Fab:

Hola, amigos! I love those "button" cookies, esp. the one that says "Do You Dig It." And to think, all these years I've been saying "Can You Dig It?" Thanks, McCall's, for heppin' this square!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:43am Otis Fodder:

@MB - Using v5 since they brought it back. So nice and lightweight - winamp.com
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44am Otis Fodder:

Hey Fab, here's some Go Go music for the funkateer inside!
Avatar 11:44am Franco Twinkie:

Otis, you motherfucker! I was planning on on having a productive day and getting some shit done, but now I feel compelled to make a batch of Frosted "Button" Cookies." And let me tell you bro, that'll just blow a hole right through the middle of everything!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am Otis Fodder:

Franco, I'll be right over. Bringing some killer coffee beans!
Avatar 11:48am Franco Twinkie:

Hrmph! Well, okay.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am Hopey Sockmonkey:

Firming buttocks & breasts. Sound like a good way to start the day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am Otis Fodder:

They said, hey audio engineer, can we get some volume on our finger snappin'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am Hopey Sockmonkey:

This sounds like it desperately wants to breakout into Whip It.
Avatar 11:50am Franco Twinkie:

I'm just gonna rub frosting on my ass. That'll be my exercise for the day.
Avatar 11:50am Sonderangebot:

Hi alll! Tuning in and doing Lifting UP! And REACHING! And PUSHING! Melting this donut and cookie fed butt!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am Otis Fodder:

The volume of the recording goes up and down slightly like they had a finger on the lever when mixing down.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am Otis Fodder:

This will keep playing for up to 20 minutes full side. When I hear the first "stop"... I'll turn the power off and we'll wind down and breathe.
Avatar 11:55am Mr Fab:

She just said “pull your arm out of your socket.” Um, ok, I guess removing body parts would, technically, cause you to lose weight...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am Otis Fodder:

Workout becomes workover.
Avatar 11:57am Franco Twinkie:

Fab, Ha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

I'm into this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm Kat in Chicago:

I went two flights down to the basement laundry and back, that's all the exercise you're getting out of me. Till the dryers are done anyway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm Otis Fodder:

Laundry Limber, me too!
Avatar 12:14pm Mr Fab:

I always thought she was saying “but not a sweet lady.” Only the Space-Age miracle of the internet clued me to the actual lyrics “Banana Split lady.” Quite the posh accent there, Sioouxsie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm Jan Duggyburg:

Hi Sonderangebot, Franco, MB and Mr. Fab!
Avatar 12:23pm Franco Twinkie:

Otis, did you ever go to Camp Snoopy?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm Otis Fodder:

No, I never did. What is Camp Snoopy?
Avatar 12:31pm Franco Twinkie:

In the early '80's they gave Knott's berry Farm a spruce up, and Camp Snoopy was a pathetic park within the park area for the kids. I only went there once, but I remember getting really high in the parking lot and just been a nuisance to everybody. That was the last time I went to Knotts's Berry Farm.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Otis Fodder:

Ha, oh no. I could have visited but I have no memory of that. Sounds terrible. haaa
Avatar 12:36pm Mr Fab:

Knott’s was too far away for most of us Valley dudes/girls. Magic Mountain was our jam, esp. thanks to KROQ bringing in the likes of Sparks, Nina Hagen, Suburban Lawns, etc. to play shows there. Take that, Mouse!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Kat in Chicago:

Cybotron! Early Detroit techno classic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm Otis Fodder:

Yayyy Kat. Yes, loads of early electro 12" singles here. Cybotron is a fav flashback.
Avatar 12:42pm Franco Twinkie:

Fab, Chresti was an extra in Roller Coaster which was filmed at Magic Mountain. Sparks played live in the movie. Were you there?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm Kat in Chicago:

I love old electro. If it wasn't for The Current Situtation I would have been in Detroit in two weeks for the big Memorial Day techno festival, which I missed last year. Sigh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Otis Fodder:

Oh god, detroit electro festival. Wow, I would love to go to that one day. Nothing like that classic sound.
Avatar 12:46pm Franco Twinkie:

I suspect Millie is not washing anyone else's funky drawers in this song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Otis Fodder:

And she does not take 'any' leftovers!
Avatar 12:47pm Mr Fab:

Franco, wow, COOL!! I wasnt there that day, but I loved the movie “Rollercoaster.” Their performances in the film was my introduction to Sparks, actually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm Kat in Chicago:

That Millie track was excellent. Hadn't heard that one before.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Greetings Otis and WFMU pals!
Avatar 12:56pm Mr Fab:

Marilyn Chambers made a record?! Maybe she saw all the success Andrea True had...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Otis Fodder:

@Fab - The Disco A-Side - www.youtube.com...
Avatar 12:59pm Franco Twinkie:

I think Marilyn Chambers did that song after she took it up the ass from John Holmes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Otis Fodder:

Hi ya Granny!
Avatar 1:00pm Sonderangebot:

@Franco hahaha
Hi granny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm Rich in Wonderland:

I just thought of a really odious potential new career: Children's party DJ.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Rich in Wonderland:

I need that Minimal Wave Tapes comp. I totally forgot about it until this show. I like how the design/typography is a tiny bit evocative of Cramps Records releases.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Rich in Wonderland:

<catching up - I've been in the kitchen cooking while listening and cleaning house>
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Jan Duggyburg:

Hi Granny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm Otis Fodder:

Rich, I'll start the Quebec franchise. Now where are those Merzbow and Marclay records at.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Hey, it's great to see so many friendly folx here! And this set is sounding gooood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Rich in Wonderland:

I still recall the first time I heard this song I nearly drove my car off the road. I thought I was hearing an old obscure Motown/Detroit oldie and that Sabbath's version was actually a cover of it all along. It blew my mind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm Rich in Wonderland:

Hi Granny! How are you?
Avatar 1:18pm Mr Fab:

My daughter's school has (had?) DJs at school functions, but they just play the usual stuff. Probly a school dad volunteering.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Hey Rich! Did i miss the workout? That really frosts my buttons.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm Rich in Wonderland:

I was working out some potatoes and onions during the workout portion.
('cept now I gotta work them off :( )
Avatar 1:21pm Martinibomb:

I had tickets for that Bradley tour - but you had to buy them months in advance and by the time the show came and went I'd forgotten that I bought them and didn't go. Then he died! Grrr so frustrating.
Avatar 1:22pm Cp304:

Me fab you should go spin your USA Mix for them
  1:26pm melinda:

Hi everyone!
Avatar 1:28pm Franco Twinkie:

The first time I heard Beaver and Krause was in a psychedelic surfing movie called Pacific Vibrations. We were dark haired valley kids in theater full of long haired blonds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm Otis Fodder:

Hi melinda!
Avatar 1:55pm Ehoooh:

Trippy music for a dancing princess here...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm Rich in Wonderland:

Beaver and Krause were sort of all over the place. They did electronics stuff for lots of other people as well.
  2:01pm ARB:

I just watched the video someone spliced together all of the billions and billions said by Trump. It syncs up well with the first Inuit chant
  2:01pm ARB:

But who would dare!? Hi Otis and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Rich in Wonderland:

Hi ARB!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm Otis Fodder:

Hi ARB, welcome and danse Ehoooh, the princess waltz.
  2:07pm ARB:

Camp Snoopy was also the indoor theme park in The Mall Of America in Minneapolis
  2:09pm ARB:

I saw Kenny G perform there when it opened, but I'd definitely trade that for Suburban Lawns at Magic Mountain
Avatar 2:13pm Franco Twinkie:

Hi Alina! I just have to tell you, when you read that part of the book where Little Richard gives the crippled lady her present, I was laughing so hard I wad tears in my eyes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

"Flash" is the last really good Queen album, in this fan's opinion. My favorite are the first two.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Uh oh, Otis is lost in the swamp!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Rich in Wonderland:

OH GOD. Now I'm listening to that trump Billions and Billions video in five+ tabs at once.
  2:16pm ARB:

Oh Franco that warms my heart!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Otis, you are making me laugh.
Avatar 2:17pm Franco Twinkie:

You are a little trouble maker!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

I'm crying tears of laughter over here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Is this song about Bubbles?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Otis Fodder:

Yes, the monkey. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Otis Fodder:

There's a video too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Oooo, I see the video. Going to have to watch that later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Philippe Von Horns's hair situation is making me feel funny.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Otis Fodder:

Featuring the doo of the future for all of us in isolation, no shame in the Von Horns game. Inspiration for haircuts for all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Kat in Chicago:

That chin growth though, blechhh!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Play them anyway!
Avatar 2:54pm Ehoooh:

I've never heard this Captain Beefheart LP, which one is it?
  2:54pm Oliverrr:

Nice spoken words ! I'm feelin it !!
Never enough time ... Still - Been real swell !!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Kat in Chicago: yeah, i think i was fine until i got to that part. Poufy plus unibrow is enough without muttonchops! Who am i to speak, anyway?!?!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm chresti:

Thanks Otis, it's been fun!
Avatar 2:56pm Ehoooh:

This is radio at its best
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Thanks, Otis!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Kat in Chicago:

Thank you, Otis. Not going to follow the McCall's recipe, but I might make myself a mini batch of frosted sugar cookies this week. (Sans slogans, I haven't the tools for that.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Jan Turkenburg:

Thanks Otis!
