“Little Records” is a two hour radio show hosted by “The Big G” focusing on the little Records, both literal and figurative. 45’s of high quality but lowly chart stature. Mostly we’ll be covering Blues, Jazz, R&B, Country and Rock & Roll, but the show is freeform so anything that’s appeared on a 45RPM record, starting with RCA’s introduction of the format in 1949 is fair game.

Listener comments!

  8:04pm pinto bean:

Had WrestleMania featured The Big G and Svengoolie instead of Rowdy Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff, there would be no Hulk Hogan sex tape!
  8:04pm The Big G:

Note to future self,
Interview Jimmy “mouth of the south”Hart.
  8:05pm bigplanetnoise:

Hey hey hey!

The Minitmen! The definition of a 2-sider!
Avatar 8:11pm The Big G:

Yes Todd,
The flip being “smoking in the boys room”. The same producer Bob Morris produced this record and The Brownsville Station tune by the same name
Avatar 8:12pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

That's crazy! Never knew that...this show isn't just entertaining it's educational!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm Richard:

As great as the music is (and it is), I'm totally loving the label scans!
Avatar 8:13pm The Big G:

That’s how I’m selling it to the sensors Todd, EDUCATIONAL.... ESSENTIAL

Ring a ding
Avatar 8:19pm The Big G:

Glynis, Ring A Ding!!
Avatar 8:19pm Fredericks:

There appears to be far too many songs on the playlist for the amount of time the show's been on. Is this some weird space/time twisting?
Avatar 8:20pm The Big G:

Frederick,
Yes. These songs date from a period of Music history when songs were concise
Avatar 8:22pm The Big G:

A Time Warp even!
Avatar 8:22pm Thomas Torment:

Boom! Great show Big G!
  8:25pm bigplanetnoise:

Everybody rub!!!
Avatar 8:25pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Stellar backing by Dick Holler's Holidays. I would expect nothing less.
Avatar 8:25pm Fredericks:

The Mark Harrison & Snakehips was long enough for me to decide I like it. Snakehips are like Bee's knees and chicken lips.
Avatar 8:28pm The Big G:

My band played a double record release party for that SnakeHips 45 in 1992. $5 got you a copy of our single and theirs.
Avatar 8:29pm Fredericks:

What a deal, G!
Avatar 8:29pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

You introduced me to this Troy Shondell pounder at some point in our prestigious careers.
Avatar 8:31pm The Big G:

Todd,
Right after you introduced me to the Allentown Wrestling museum!
Avatar 8:37pm The Big G:

You’re turned into... WFMU!
Avatar 8:38pm Mailman Tom:

I like what I'm hearing. I hope you have a regular slot on Saturday nights. I'll be all ears!

  9:26pm CC:

sometimes it's better to just sleep until you wake up!!!
Avatar 9:27pm Mailman Tom:

I was lucky enough to see Buddy Guy and Junior Wells play together at a small club in Westport, CT, back in the early 1970s.
Avatar 9:28pm The Big G:

Bet that was Smokin' Tom!
Avatar 9:31pm Glynis GirlGroupGirl:

OK that was one of the weirdest records I've ever heard. Religious Moog!!!
Avatar 9:31pm The Big G:

in a pre-vape sense of the word
Avatar 9:32pm The Big G:

Thanks DJ Pat!
  9:41pm CC:

Kewl!!!
Avatar 9:45pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

This Hombres title is right up there with "Take My Underwhelming Love and Cram It Up Your Heart".
Avatar 9:45pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

I also find it fair to say....that they found their musical formula and stuck to it!
  9:46pm CC:

Sleeping helps a lot!!!
