Avatar 3:08pm david w:

chresti's mind is always free, just slightly dinged.
Avatar 3:08pm david w:

Hey, Mary. Yep, cool album.
Avatar 3:10pm Franco Twinkie:

Hi David. Hows my condition? Well, I'm starting to crack a little bit. I've gotten into it with two different petty gate keepers this week.
Avatar 3:11pm david w:

Ruth seems AWOL at the moment, probably minding the roof garden, yes.
Avatar 3:12pm david w:

Franco, mind that crack, they can grow.
Avatar 3:13pm Franco Twinkie:

Copy that.
  3:19pm ruth:

Hi all! I'm here!

  3:26pm ruth:

Drummer news: Doug Schulkind is doing a special this Friday, a 4-hour disco dance party from 3-7pm.
Avatar 3:38pm david w:

  3:39pm ruth:

Hey Che! This track's suddenly getting raves from Tutu!
  3:40pm Che Chen:

david, you should have Tutu guest curate the next ridgewood radio compilation.
Avatar 3:40pm david w:

Ruth's birds have good taste (and rule the nest, I never program without their approval).
  3:42pm Che Chen:

I like this Tristan Honsinger too. not familiar with his italian pal.
  3:43pm ruth:

He's doing whistling bomb drops and clicking
  3:44pm Che Chen:

can you record Tutu for me sometime? might be handy for FOH radio show :)
  3:46pm Che Chen:

wow, this sounds great. i've heard Gania before but i didn't know about this collaboration.
Avatar 3:48pm david w:

AngelicA Fest, 75 Dollar Bill should play there, when it re-emerges.
Avatar 3:49pm david w:

Brotzmann, the most brutal tough mofo alongside Drake, the gentlest.
  3:56pm Che Chen:

good to know. we were supposed to do some italian shows in June, postponed to november but who knows if even that will happen. Hamid does have the most tender vibe.

  4:03pm massimo:

hi david... hope this messagge arrive to you or to someone next to you.... or to the world.... i am not use to this.... sound good your radio show.... anthony and jacqueline i am listening now.... this duo played the first time at angelica after my invitation because i loved the idea of anthony with only harp and jacqueline was a big surprize, and the music came out.... but maybe i am writing toomuch for a chat?!
  4:04pm ruth:

Ken's show sounds great! Everyone's so relieved Marianne's out of the hospital.
  4:04pm ruth:

Hi massimo!
Avatar 4:04pm david w:

Massimo! Perfecto! Big hug to you all! Grazie for all you do!
  4:05pm massimo:

hi ruth
  4:05pm Che Chen:

yes, that braxton/kerrod track is gorgeous!
  4:06pm massimo:

ciaooooOOoooo david and you all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm coelacanth∅:

david @3.49 imagine Brotzmann with his drummer counterpart, whoever that may be. the rest of the world may implode into them!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm coelacanth∅:

(...Ginger Baker?)
  4:14pm Che Chen:

@ coelacanth: The Anthony Braxton / Max Roach record" Birth and Rebirth might be close to what you are thinking of...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15pm coelacanth∅:

massimo - not writing too much! (in my opinion)
  4:16pm ruth:

Love this. Ned's always been a gift to my ears- we thank him.
Avatar 4:17pm david w:

coel, I get you, musicians are different when they are jamming, and might be a good example for us all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm coelacanth∅:

Che Chen that's a great album! but i was pondering Peter Brotzmann's energy/power counterpart, and what he and that person might accomplish (not necessarily expecting good things!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm coelacanth∅:

right, david. like -i wonder if Brotzmann and Cecil Taylor ever played together.(?) i would expect them to be disharmonious personally, but possibly to create some very interesting music.
(probably somewhat violent music)
Avatar 4:28pm david w:

Personalities. A big part of these collaborations. When they vibe, hot or cold, we get something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm chresti:

This is very nice, thanks david and ruth, I have to go to the store @#$#%^%*!
Avatar 4:31pm david w:

Take care, chresti, delighted to see you always.
  4:35pm Che Chen:

coelacanth -- sorry, misread read brotzmann for braxton in your initial comment! i'm all caught now :)
Avatar 4:35pm david w:

Oh yeah, Village Vanguard, hope it survives this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks David! Thanks Ruth!
take care everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57pm doctorjazz:

Teleconference since 4 PM, just ending (able to keep you on very low in the background, helpful). These things are mind numbing...
Be well, all!
  4:58pm ruth:

You too Dr. J
Avatar 4:58pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Up next on the Drummer stream:

First, "Swirled Freely," a wordless and happy-dream-making lazy layering play of field recordings from all over the world, and pleasing electronic musics from many joymakers.

Second, a very spooky dream immersion called "You Have Nowhere to Go (What's wrong?)", a spontaneous live radio study repurposing the sound montage elements that made the 1971 film THX 1138 so scarily transportative.

Say hi here! wfmu.org...
Avatar 5:00pm david w:

THX 1138, the first dirt in space! Stay tuned!
Avatar 5:00pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

  5:00pm ruth:

Bye all until next week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm Stanley:

Brilliant. Thanks David
