The cats are satisfied and asprawl. The domestication of the dog proceeds apace.

	2:40pm Dean: I have fond memories of 8-tracks. A weird early David Bowie, a Genesis compilation, and most importantly, the first time I heard Yes's Close to the Edge was off an 8-track I borrowed from a neighbor. But yeah, other than sentimental value, they were a pretty clunky medium.

Like I once wrote on Larry's show, Bruce Springsteen was among the last releases (the 1985 live set, only available from a record club), perfect car music - and of course I have no first hand experience, just have read about it.

	2:46pm Dean: My player was in one of those cheesy consoles with a tuner and a turntable atop a bookcase in my bedroom. Shoot, you could find budget priced 8-tracks and LPs at the supermarket!
