Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm Doug Schulkind:

Darkness ascends!
  12:01pm Mr Nobody:

Hey everyone!

good afternoon from noo hay-ven!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Julie:

hiya Woj!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Handy Haversack:

Hi, Julie, Dark Nighters, those with Souls, and all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Phillippe Bastille:

@C.S. Ha! Me as well. I never thought my "Leave me the **** alone!" would ever be trendy. But here we are!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Julie:

hi Handy!
Avatar 12:04pm Julien à Montréal:

Hi Julie and fellow social distancers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hey Handy, meeting wrapped up?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm Handy Haversack:

@Phillippe: Kate has that on a T-shirt!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm Julie:

HI Julien! How is Montreal?
Avatar 12:04pm C.S.:

Thinking back to the nights when I used to listen to this show from the safety of my bed at 3 AM. good times.
Avatar 12:04pm Julien à Montréal:

Cold, grey, lonely...I love it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Handy Haversack:

Yeah, took most of the hour. Not too bad, though -- mostly just reconnecting with colleagues. But Google Hangouts is a nightmare.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Phillippe Bastille:

@Handy really? If I added that to my WFMU tee shirt collection, I'd never have to clothes shop again!
Avatar 12:05pm βrian:

L'enfer, c'est les autres.
(It seems to have new meaning today.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Julie:

yeah my sister wants to use google hangouts but everyone I know is using Zoom
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Handy Haversack:

I think hers is "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME": apposite now!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm woj:

turning the volume up because someone with a leaf blower is outside the house...wheeeeee!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm Julie:

hi Brian!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm Phillippe Bastille:

I'm having the most fun work day ever. Still going through the alt text that PowerPoint graciously auto-generated. 600 down another 300 to go. My favorite so far was a picture of a guard dog with the auto-generated tag of "Dog sitting at a computer".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm Handy Haversack:

He thinks he's people!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Julie:

I also think I am people. Kind of.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Phillippe Bastille:

Don't they all?
Avatar 12:10pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

Hi Julie and fellow listeners! Social distancing does not do much good: it is 6.10 pm now and I have barely woken up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm Phillippe Bastille:

Julie, you are not only a real person, you are one of my favorite internet people!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm Julie:

hiya Cha Cha! Turning into a night owl?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm Julie:

awww Phillippe that is so sweet!
  12:12pm John from Florham park:

Hello fellow dark night listeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Handy Haversack:

@Julie: My obligatory reminder that Zoom hates us:

Try meet.jit.si with Chromium, Chrome,

There's another instance of the same software over at meet.mayfirst.org if you don't want your data going through the jitsi organization's servers for a group meeting.
  12:13pm Mr Nobody:

Are any of us real? Haven't there been several scientists saying we are likely living in a simulation? lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Phillippe Bastille:

I know I'm real. Real bored...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Handy Haversack:

@Mr Nobody: not that we necessarily are: just that it is the most likely scenario.
Avatar 12:15pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@12:11 Julie: been a night owl for too long already.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm woj:

julie is people! i've seen her in real life! or maybe, i saw her android...hmmm now i am not sure...
Avatar 12:16pm Hubig Pie:

Sure, I'll have a second helping of Cocteau Twins
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Julie:

I know some people are super disciplined and still getting up the same awful early time
  12:16pm Mr Nobody:

Yeah. I find it pretty interesting.

I suppose the question is do you take the blue pill or red pill
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm Handy Haversack:

@Julie: I am. It's depressing. By 3:30 I am totally wiped out. All plans to go on long walks dissolve.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm Julie:

I took some red pills this morning (sudafed)
  12:17pm Mr Nobody:

Ugh we are still having our daily 7 am conference calls.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Julie:

Morning is evil under all circumstances.
Avatar 12:19pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

good memories, the first time i played victorialand it was at the usual 33rpm, and it sounded very dreamy and slooooow. didn't really note the difference until I saw the label with its 45 rpm "recommendation"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Julie:

Mr Nobody video too?
  12:20pm Mr Nobody:

At least I can sleep in until 6:30 now instead of getting to work then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm woj:

i already work at home so this has been no real change for me as far as schedules go. just not going out to shows anymore in the evening...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Michael 98145:

Aloha, Julie, friends. To your health.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Julie:

Yes I have played them at the wrong speed too, it was kinda interesting.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm brainiac:

Good morning to Julie and everybody.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Julie:

@Woj yeah the same here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm Julie:

Hi Michael & Brainiac!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm brainiac:

If we all were linked be video would this cease to be radio?
  12:21pm Mr Nobody:

Thankfully no to those. Someone made a joke about doing video chats. I said that's fine but you may or may not like what you are going to see.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hey Tamar! When are we going to get to hear you again? I've been wandering through your archives recently
  12:36pm John from Florham park:

@Granny always sassy
  12:37pm Tamar:

Hi Julie, "saw" you last evening at the Robyn Hitchcock & Emma Swift quarantine show.
  12:37pm John from Florham park:

Hi Tamar
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Julie:

Oh that was so good, wasn't it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Handy Haversack:

Yeah, Julie. Yeah. Word.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Julie:

hi dreamy! Me too here in NYC. I got family in the hill country
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm brainiac:

I just found a price list from Pills-From-Canada in my junk mail. Looks legit.
Anybody need any female Viagra?
  12:41pm Tamar:

Hey Phillippe! I think it will be a while. I'm dealing with the whole upside-down-ness of moving college classes online in my "other" life and overwhelmed with work. But thanks! And hi John and everyone.
Avatar 12:42pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

Thanks for the kate bush track julie! never heard that one... (OK, I don't have any singles/b-sides collections etc. so I am missing a lot)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm Julie:

That one never came out I recorded it off the movie years ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm woj:

dang completely forgot about the robyn/emma stream last night. how was it?
Avatar 12:43pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

I did not know the movie either! that was your own recording?

I think so? It's been so long.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Julie and all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Phillippe Bastille:

@Tamar well, I for one will be standing in a corner with my arms folded and tapping my foot impatiently as I await your return
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Julie:

coincidentally Alan Arkin stars in that movie and it's his birthday today! Hiya Coela!
Avatar 12:45pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

I avoid social media (people are awful, heh) and because of that I keep missing all these streamed stay-at-home gigs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hey Coel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Julie:

Woj was wonderful although I missed the last 20 mins or so. Video froze a lot but it sounded great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Handy Haversack:

Hey, coela.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm coelacanth∅:

...and in time for a pillow of winds
(actually been hearing since Nick Cave)

hi Phillippe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm coelacanth∅:

hey Handy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm Julie:

they sound so lovely together with just the guitar, Robyn & Emma
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Handy Haversack:

(& Oblivion, @Julie.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm woj:

awwww glad it was good! sorry to have missed it...and thanks for the hitchocck deep cut!
  12:52pm Tamar:

Robyn & Emma are charming, but they are on ethernet and it's sort of like watching a late 1970s video, with the pixel and freeze effects. Their cats are camera shy.
Avatar 12:53pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

I opened this up at scott williams' stand-in show last night but I still find it surreal that they are starting the process soon of isolating the Uusimaa region (you know Helsinki and all that) from the rest of Finland. I don't live down there and therefore it does not affect me as directly as other people but let's say I don't know if I want to watch certain type of movies or read certain type of books right now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm Julie:

oh wow
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Julie:

I worry they'll decide to isolate NYC
Avatar 12:54pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

this is a good version (Marissa Nadler), Spectrum (or was it Sonic Boom? anyway Peter Kember) is also beautiful!
Avatar 12:55pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

I found it so unfair this Genesis album was just deleted from our library system, well now there is no chance of going to the library...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Julie:

oh no!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Phillippe Bastille:

Not sure what the weather is like where you are but the sun has broken through here in Annapolis and the birdies are twittering

Peter's voice sounds like the guy from strawbs on that one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Julie:

it is very nice here. The one day I HAD to go out (monday) it was gross and rainy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Julie:

the sun and empty city are tempting even to me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Michael 98145:

this is making me smile.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm listener james from westwood:

I finally ventured out to the grocery after 2 weeks yesterday and of course it began lightly snowing in Jersey as I was packing the car.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Julie:

I must credit Jordan Peele for getting me into Minnie Riperton after all these years
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm coelacanth∅:

it's very beautiful outside here.
as i decided to not go to work again i thought how nice to go get tea from the café and sit downtown somewhere, among the other sun-loving people.

...i have an outside deck, i guess i'll sit there amongst a handful of potted plants.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Michael 98145:

lotsa trees blooming around here
Avatar 1:00pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

the last time I went to the main library I picked up a reserved item (Our Band Could Be Your Life) and because it was the last day it was open, people were taking out books in a frenzy, and I did not realize another reserved item had arrived for me: Odessa by Bee Gees! thanks to you Julie,Odessa and the Genesis debut seem like albums I really should check out pronto, via spotify, youtube whatever there is.
  1:00pm Mr Nobody:

Been bright and sunny down here. Very tempting to get out too. Especially with most of the city staying home. If it weren't for the extreme levels of pollen I would be getting outdoors a little more.

I may attempt going out later to resupply fruits and veggies.
Avatar 1:01pm βrian:

We have a few early blooms close to the ground. And the garlic has broken through the mulch.
  1:02pm John from Florham park:

@Julie taking a walk liistening to music is a great way for people to leave you alone, me taking a walk while listening to your fine show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm coelacanth∅:

definitely taking a long walk today at least
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Julie:

that's awesome Cha Cha!
  1:04pm John from Florham park:

  1:08pm John from Florham park:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Phillippe Bastille:

Howdy JFFP!
Avatar 1:09pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@1:04 John from Florham park: yes, no catasthrope survival novels or movies or anything of that sort right now for me, having a quick obligatory read through the news is more than enough. I guess re-watching trailer park boys is the most high-brow&serious stuff I can take now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Otis Fodder:

Hi Julie. I heard the call of Minnie Riperton and crossed streams successfully.

And hello all, hi hi.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm Julie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm Phillippe Bastille:

@Photocopy eating those Ja-LOP-a-nose chips while you watch?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm listener james from westwood:

Lovely Sasami and have always dug this INXS track! Probably the first I ever heard, in junior high.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Otis Fodder:

I remember having this INXS cassette in junior high, still a killer cut.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm Julie:

Yep I had this 45! and another.. Don't Change, I think?
Avatar 1:17pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@1:14 Phillippe Bastille: PLEASE LEAVE A HUGE CARDBOARD BOX OF JA-LOP-A-NOSE CHIPS BY MY FRONT DOOR! (grrrr, I have no chips at all)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm Phillippe Bastille:

@photocopy My favorite Trailer Park Boys sight gag was the episode where they were blurring out the faces of the stray cats because they didn't have signed releases from them
Avatar 1:19pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@1:17 Phillippe Bastille: I loved Trinity having a huge HELIX back patch on her jacket. And how Ricky loved their lyrics: gimme an r, o,c,k...."

I snapped up a ridiculous amount of chips in my lockdown shopping spree. I have not eaten this much junk food since high school.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Phillippe Bastille:

I think I'm the real-life Bubbles. My office is a converted 10x10 storage shed. When I'm having troubles sleeping, I'll come out here and sleep as well...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Julie:

I have learned it is not safe to have boxes of crackers in the house
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm Handy Haversack:

We are going to have to brave the world for peppers, snacks, and vermouth later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm Phillippe Bastille:

There was some real interesting stuff come out about the guy who played Mr. Leahy after he died. Apparently quite a unique individual
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Handy Haversack:

Kate went for a run and reports that folks in Greenpoint are much better about keeping their damn distance than they were a couple of days ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Phillippe Bastille:

@Julie do your birds ever ask for crackers?
  1:21pm Mr Nobody:

Thankfully my willpower is remaining fairly strong in avoiding bad snacking.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Julie:

@phillippe nope they just talk about how pretty they are and how good they are
Avatar 1:22pm Hubig Pie:

My birds ask for crackers, popcorn , bananas and garbanzos
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Julie:

@Handy glad to hear it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm Julie:

I had a canary that loved any yellow food. Banana, pineapple, she would grab a piece out of my hand and run away to eat it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm Otis Fodder:

I have been a bit of a bird myself with the bananas, in the form of snacking on banana chips. They go very very fast!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm brainiac:

@Julie: You may be getting tired of this request, but what about letting us hear your birds on a mic break?
Avatar 1:25pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

Julie I genuinely liked the one show were there were some technical hiccups and one could hear atmosphere sounds from your place, including the sounds the birds made. umm. was this during last summer?

@1:25 brainiac: I'll second that!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm Phillippe Bastille:

Funny talking parrot joke, TLDR version: Woman buys a parrot that was rescued from a house of ill repute. Brings home said bird, which makes nasty disparaging remarks to the women in the household, referring to them as prostitutes. Husband comes home and the bird says "Hello Phillippe"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm brainiac:

That's a good one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Julie:

I'm kind of surprised you can't since this mic seems sensitive but I will open the door next time @ChaCha I think it was more recent but yes I was broadcasting my laptop mic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Julie:

i actually saved that bit of the show I'm afraid to see what curses I muttered in my frustration
Avatar 1:27pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@1:27 Julie: that's only human
  1:29pm Mr Nobody:

That was a fun one. Frustrated huffing and typing. lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm coelacanth∅:

haha Phillippe! good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm Julie:

and I think people could hear the birds too
  1:30pm Mr Nobody:

Yep
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm Julie:

@Mr Nobody sure sure, laugh at my agony
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm brainiac:

I secretly hope to hear the birds curse
Avatar 1:31pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

whoah, this is actually the first time I am hearing Kukl, even if I have known the name since late 80s I think
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Julie:

My birds don't curse! Years ago I had one that used to go "stupid stupid" and "stinky bird," but that's as bad as it ever got.
Avatar 1:33pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@1:32 Julie: already two band names there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Julie:

I curse more than I used to though so it might still happen
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Julie:

Stinky Bird seems like a likely one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Phillippe Bastille:

@Julie a well-behaved bird is always a welcome guest.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm Julie:

oh they don't behave they just don't swear!
  1:35pm Mr Nobody:

Welllllll it wasn't exactly AT your agony but more the situation.
Avatar 1:35pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@1:34 Julie: stupid stupid sounds more 'indie' for the better or for the worse (the worse)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm coelacanth∅:

would they poop on my head? that's the main thing!
  1:37pm Mr Nobody:

At coelacanth that's how you know they like you.

...or don't like you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm Julie:

they will poop on everything. luckily my biggest bird makes a real big show of it so I can move him before it hits me
Avatar 1:40pm Hubig Pie:

My greenwing makes gyrations and tail wags before unloading
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm Julie:

mine actually makes a SQUIRT sound with his throat. It's so weird.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm coelacanth∅:

Mr Nobody haha

  1:42pm John from Florham park:

@Julie don’t worry about it

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Julie:

Avatar 2:02pm Hubig Pie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, darksouls. The album cover looks like a Tim Burton creation. thebirthdaymassacre.bandcamp.com...

Hi, chresti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm brainiac:

Hey chresti, you keeping your distance socially?
Avatar 2:17pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

has anyone here got the re-release of craig smith's (a.k.a. Satya Sai Maitreya Kali) apache/inca? the monkees reminded me of him (nesmith produced penny arkade, smith's band, before his life went weird and sad). The book about him is one of the weirdest and saddest rock biographies.
Avatar 2:18pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

Julie, always a pleasure to hear Edward Ka-Spel and The Legendary Pink Dots, thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:19pm Andrew Waterloo:

They put on a great show last year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Julie:

Hi Andrew!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm CHUCK ROAST:

.G'day, Juliie. I'd like to introduce your newest listener. She is Patti Ann I, Queen of the United F**king States of America.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Andrew Waterloo:

LPD that is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Julie:

hi Chuck and Patti Ann! Welcome
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Andrew Waterloo:

I am in a boring meeting filled with technical problems
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm chresti:

I have a friend that went on Peoples Court to sue a man that fed pigeons in front of her house, saying the pigeons gathered on her roof and their poop would land on the window sills, thus creating a health hazard for her.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm Julie:

so like work except worse.. fun fun
Avatar 2:22pm C.S.:

Never heard of Craig Smith until now Photocopy Cha Cha. I learn a lot not just from the show but from its listeners.

Hey, Chuck. Hi, Patti Ann I, Your Highness.

How you doing, Chuck? Feeling OK?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm Andrew Waterloo:

I saw them on the All the Kings.. tour and they had a huge crowd, huge band as well.. some time in the middle was a light crowd, and this time was a good crowd but small venue. I like them as three people.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm Handy Haversack:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Woof Moo save the queen!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm Otis Fodder:

Thanks Julie. Gotta run but nice catching the show live today and that Hooverphonic track was bliss.

Take care everyone, yay.
Avatar 2:29pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@2:22 C.S.: Craig Smith's apache/inca is recommended! A peculiar mix of field recordings, rather Buffalo Springfield-sounding tracks by Penny Arkade and disturbingly beautiful solo tracks. Mike Stax wrote the excellent book about him. Yes, a very odd and tragic story he had. Many articles about him, wikipedia, vice etc. Apache/Inca (well it is basically two separate albums, in the end they came out as a double) is probably on youtube. It is almost like a diary or autobiography in the form of a double album
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

uh, i'm getting messier
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hi Chuck, Hi Patti Ann! Keep Glen Burnie real!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Santos L. Halper:

Hi Julie, you may have said on-air earlier, but is that Magician movie worth a look? Available anywhere?
Avatar 2:31pm C.S.:

I have to say Julie's and WFMU's listeners are pretty knowledgeable people. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm brainiac:

@HRM: It's nice to welcome someone new to the comments board. Unless you're actually Chuck in drag.
Avatar 2:31pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

oh, and speaking of the monkees, Craig Smith wrote Salesman for them (also songs for Andy Williams and Glen Campbell?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Julie:

@Santos I don't actually know! I saw it quite late night one night on television many years ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Julie:

CS they usually know so much more than I do!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm chresti:

Julie, on my second day of not going to work, I haven't done a damn thing. Kind of stunned and have not come to my senses yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Julie:

It takes a while to adjust. By the time being home becomes productive it may be time to return to work. Don't beat yourself up, we are all stressed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm Handy Haversack:

Kate is def. still adjusting, but she taught herself Garage Band yesterday.

I work from home periodically so am used to it ... now I just have to figure out a way to work less and less hard now that I'm here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm woj:

if you crack that nut, handy, tell me the secret. tell us all the secret.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm Julie:

I saw companies offering free synth modular simulation programs I need to check that out!
Avatar 2:37pm C.S.:

I work in a grocery store so I feel like there is a target is on my back. When I come home, there's little time to do much of anything so haven't really accomplished much even though I can't go anywhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Phillippe Bastille:

My new game controller came today and I bought a set of racing games. Call me Junior and pass me the tin of Kodiak! I may never leave my office!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Handy Haversack:

The dog seems to have it figured out, @woj. But he's napping too hard to share his secrets.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Julie:

@CS you're one of our heroes right now!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm Phillippe Bastille:

@c.s. damn, I'm sure feeling that way truly sucks. Thank you for continuing to go into work. Stay safe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm chresti:

Truth be told, I usually stay indoors when not going to work or my studio. If I do go to the studio, I stay in unless I go get coffee, I'll try going there tomorrow..maybe
Avatar 2:40pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

simon & garfunkel! this music is like hugging your favorite teddy bear. when I am too drunk i always listen to the only living boy in new york, but right now the title sounds.... scary.

Hi Julie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:41pm Julie:

I heard somewhere (likely FMU) that the studio engineers called Garfunkle "garkle" behind his back because there was no Art and no Fun
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm Michael 98145:

what chresti just said
Avatar 2:43pm Photocopy Cha Cha:

@2:41 Julie: simon & garfunkel are like "mrs. robinson... sounds of silence.. yeah, how exciting", but then one realizes it is actually touching music, songs as mini-movies you know, and great albums.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm listener james from westwood:

Not seeing folks and no casual physical contact is what I'm missing most. Touch hunger is real.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm Julie:

@2:42 chresti: and worrying about friends! a dear friend of mine is a nurse (he works with the disabled as I remember it) and even if he's very healthy... still concerned. and most loved ones are somehow at risk due to a pre-existing condition.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm Julie:

@Julie that is the real shitty part about this, not being able to see your dad
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Andrew Waterloo:

I have my daughter this weekend. But, yah, when you live alone you rely and don't have a social network you rely on those small tertiary interactions. Sometimes just sitting alone in a coffee shop or bar can be regenerating.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Julie:

  2:51pm John from Florham park:
