Intimate electronics, bad poetry, tender murk, and tired humans making the best of it. Features live sound collaging, too.

Love Norma Tanega and her cat called Dog!
@Chestri howdy
Hi John
@KFHP howdy
@coel howdy
i bought chocolate today. i phoned it it but i'm pretty sure he had to put them in the box then handed the box to me in the doorway. it's almost like touching each-other.
i'm doomed.
chris, it was the same in LA, prompting the mayor to shut things down.
@Olivia we are all conflicted
On one of the last flee markets in Cologne I got myself a copy of the Friend And Lover album.
Never had heard about them before.
Decend LP, though.
i didn't even think to wash my hands after that,chresti.
...i'm doomed.
i might have smoked some tp in a pinch, never tried drinking it
Hey, Mr. Pumpy, queems!
- livecoded dronish signals having an affair with field recordings (SuperCollider)
Bandcamp published numbers for last Friday, quote:
The numbers tell a remarkable story: on a typical Friday, fans buy about 47,000 items on Bandcamp, but this past Friday, fans bought nearly 800,000, or $4.3 million worth of music and merch. That’s more than 15 times our normal Friday, and at the peak, fans were buying 11 items per second.
- still heroes of the industry.
Also, NYC buses are crazy now. No fare, enter through the back and then pack in the back and I assure you there is no social distancing.
anyway it might as well be.
Anyway, I just had ravioli for lunch.
There's a reason.
A quirk of my brain is that if I hear the words of a song lyric I know, my mind subconsciously latches onto that, and loads the whole song, melody and all, to play in my head.
It doesn't have to be a whole song lyric. It can be a couple of words.
Or an implied couple of words.
It doesn't take much for the demented Markov-chain machinery in my head to latch onto something it can work with.
So... remember when the darned kids thought it was funny to yell "YOLO!"?
Sometime after that, somebody scratched YOLO into the WFMU kitchen table.
And every time I caught a glimpse of that out of the corner of my eye, my subconscious expanded the letters into their full words, latched onto "You Only", and started playing "You Only Live Twice" in my head.
Like, every time.
I'd be doing something in the kitchen like brewing coffee, and I'd realize I was humming or just hearing that song.
This happened a lot for quite awhile, probably until the table was refinished.
Spodiodi, at least swallowing secretions allows you to recycle immunoglobulin A.
to me, spitting, especially if it contains inhaled/dirty snot might be better than ingesting the "dirt"
personally, i spit on a case-by-case basis, and try to spit where ppl and dogs are less likely to walk
spit responsibly. spit socially
BTW, @queems and Mark Hurst (et al.), in response to what queems posted about the NASTY habits of Zoom, and knowing what we all know about Google Hangouts, a friend who deals with cyber freedom issues had this to say:
" I've just been using meet.jit.si with either Chromium or Chrome
or Firefox web browsers for webconferencing with people who dont' have a
lot of capacity for technical nerdery. I see it's linked in that
article, too.
There's another instance of the same software over at
meet.mayfirst.org if you don't want your data going through the
jitsi organization's servers for a group meeting."
Sometimes signs for Bayonne lead me to the Banana Boat Song...
The chorus is basically something like, “Catch em young, treat em rough and never tell them nothing never tell them nothing… Catch em young, treat em rough and never tell them nothing never tell them nothing… That’s how you get results!”
Catchy tune. Creepy message. Wash your hands!
"Laying still" would be... what, tantric sex?
They say they fixed that backdoor issue, but.
Seems esp. prevalent for Macs?
Unfortunately.
[lots of crying from laughter emoji]
Hi melinda.
I was assuming that the artist had used "laying", and to the extent I was poking fun I thought I was doing it at him.
wonderful show -- thank-you!
so lovely for this dreary rainy day, esp. since so many of us are kinda on lockdown, isolated, etc.
I am sorry.
-maybe i'll try to veer the tv toward that next time i'm at my sister's house.
