He suggested that I may not be "present" enough for stuff to stick, and maybe I shouldn't have the radio on, and, if I do, to not participate in chats during the work day. Ha. He made another suggestion or two, but I forget what they were.

Someone ... on some board ... some time recently ... pointed out that there's a memory-loss therapy that's currently, uh, current, that involves playing the music from one's youth. But that if one hates the music of one's youth, it's crucial to leave a living will that specifies WFMU only when it's no longer possible to turn the dial on one's own.
