I believe the upstate region is 2.25 hours or more from the Bronx border. Others such as the the repatriated Idaho and Kansas folk that ruined Brooklyn consider Chappaqua upstate.

Where I live they have loud speaker towers build all over the place. The effect is for the competing and variably delayed noise of the towers to make it impossible to hear what they are saying.

We have Indian Point sirens constantly . Even if you didn’t know a test was scheduled, you should know what it is. But it’s normal for people to go online crying about sirens going off and does anyone know why?!
