Favoriting Acid Jazz Hands with Bronwyn Bishop: Playlist from January 31, 2020 Favoriting

Bronwyn Bishop's avatar View Bronwyn Bishop's profile Favoriting

Musical theater from off the beaten path. Obscure and unusual show tunes from within the canon and without, flops, failures, and the newest works from up-and-coming artists—plus tried-and-true hits. Also, occasional appearances from songs that are not show tunes (but only if they go really well with show tunes).

Hi all. Been listening since start. Very busy with work but following along as best as I can.

WR:

Ah, that was Serafina! Had forgotten about it.

Levels a bit low, I believe.
Saw this show 4 times (figured they'd get it right eventually)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

just turned it up, any better?
Avatar 🎭 Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
doctorjazz:

(Not when you we're announcing, but had to turn the volume up when Pray started)

doctorjazz:

I'll have a better sense when you speak again. Didn't seem to change much over my speakers, a little louder
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

The mic and the music are two different faders and the music one is turned up way louder than the mic. I will have someone come in and look at the board because the music is always so quiet :(

Maybe it's something on my end...get the station through an old Logitech Squeezebox, maybe something happens here.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:02pm

Much better on my end, don't know how it will compare to the line announcements, but the volume. Knob eeems too be in a more usual spot (about 10 clock instead of about 2 O clock)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:10pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

Ok good! I will have someone come solve this mystery because it's been an issue as long as I've been broadcasting out of Studio C...

Have to go, catch the rest in the archives, thanks, Bronwyn!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm

WR:

These shows are gems, anyone who ever starts listening to your show should go to them from the archive.
Avatar 🎭 Swag For Life Member 8:16pm
WR:

And your volumes have been fine tonight.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

Aw thanks WR :)
Avatar 🎭 Swag For Life Member 9:42pm
WR:

Ah, so busy with work, didn't hear your last mic break. Maybe someday we could do listening party with you of an archive show (so you aren't so busy spinning tunes) and detail focus can be done for each tune and the music theater it comes from. Much more interesting to me than a stupor bowl party.
