Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am Kevin-san:

Good morning Carol and moonies! Obsolete industrial sounds? Sounds like any morning on NJ Transit to me....
Avatar 6:47am dale:

obsolete industrial sounds? swing saws and mccormick reapers? this sounds like one of the first color printers i used, a tektonix...it used blocks of cmyk wax and it melted and sprayed them onto the paper in a fugly dot patternthat sort of all bled together.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48am CarolCrow:

@dale@6:47: Haha...That musta been innarestin':)
Avatar 6:49am TDK60:

Good Sunday morning, named after the nearest star.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49am CarolCrow:

Good morning, Kevin-san! True, but this is in stereo:)
Avatar 6:50am dale:

...and your image came out on a roll of thermal paper.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50am CarolCrow:

Good Sunday morning to you, TDK60!
Avatar 6:53am dale:

a linotype machine - i was in the right industry.

‘Maudslay Engine’ becomes a slave to melody. After a menacing fighter jet pierces the silence, metal cutting contraptions start droning in harmony, veering towards textures that might belong to a Prurient or Tim Hecker record. Meanwhile, linotype machines and start-up sounds of vintage IBM computers croon a surprisingly lyric tune, interrupted occasionally by sharper pulses and ultimately consumed by a fire truck siren.
Avatar 6:56am John from NP:

Good morning Carol and fellow Lunies.
Avatar 6:57am John from NP:

Good to see you spamoni.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21am CarolCrow:

@BVP@7:16: :)
Avatar 7:23am dale:

curling would make a good broom commercial - o cedar vs the swiffer.
Swag For Life Member 7:25am Manana:

That snicking sound is almost as great as the sound of a figure skate cutting ice. Which is the best winter sound of all.
Avatar 7:28am dale:

haa ha! groundhog day!

Good morning Carol Crow <3

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34am Ignatatus666:

The curlers soundest in the mix, probably better if I did not know it was curling. Was that a coach screaming lie he really took his position wayyy to seriously?
Sweeep his ass off to Buffalo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35am Ignatatus666:

Oh yes
Landed home safely
Outside with my aging pup
Avatar 7:35am dale:

Swag For Life Member 7:38am Manana:

Any audio exist of Cosell announcing an ice fishing tournament? That would be sumpin.
Avatar 7:41am dale:

that would be the american sportsman - maybe curt gowdy talking 'bout it.
  7:43am karœstan:

This string and noise arrangement really highlights the darker neurotic themes in Groundhog Day. Murray has a great voice. I wonder if he's read for any audiobooks.
Avatar 7:45am dale:

i saw a trailer for a ghost buster reboot. darker looking...with teenagers saving the world.
  7:46am Jeffrey Davison:

Good morning, Carol and all of you moonamalists.
  7:46am karœstan:

@Nulsh < It's worth going back later to the archives to listen from the start.

@Ignatatus@7:35: Glad you're home!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am CarolCrow:

Good morning, Jeffrey D!
  7:55am Jeffrey Davison:

Another boring Sunday: I'll drive my Ferrari 250 GT in a vintage race, then probably take a quick spin in my Spitfire. After that, perhaps I'll take a dive in my mini-sub, looking for sunken treasure...ho hum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55am Ignatatus666:

Greetings and Sonatlutations Jeffrey D.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56am adrian elaine:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57am Ignatatus666:

JD is that race in West Point?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59am CarolCrow:

good morning, adrian eleaine!
  7:59am Jeffrey Davison:

Ignatatus666: I only wish I had a vintage Ferrari, especially the 250. I could retire just by selling it!
Now that you mention West Point, I'm a little sore today. I played in the Army-Navy game yesterday in Philadelphia. A ringer...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01am Aaron Working In Newark:

Saw "Green Book" for first time last night. Sound bites galore in that flick, for sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20am Ignatatus666:

Jeffrey that’s awesome. I was watching the pre game warm up in a local deli. I lived a few years in Highland Falls( so droll) . They have those races there. It was cool to watch all the high value rich boy toys drive past. Cars valued. At over 100k
I also didn’t mind watching paratroopers falling from the sky while sitting on my front porch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23am David (in London):

Hey Nulsh and Ignatatus.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27am Baja Joe:

I just got tired of watching this movie over and over and over and over again... and again.
