Listener comments!
G'yoga, @Doug! As long as you don't mind something with turkey in it...
@holland oats!
You probably know the Paul Motian album, Windmills of Your Mind, which has Frisell and Haden on it. It is really good.
@Jeff, how could I be there and not have BBQ? (Was really great too)
Halvorson is at the Stone this coming week, I believe.
I used to try and handle the music for my work shift at the Park Slope Food Coop and that...did not go well.
The residency looks interesting, hope I can catch a show.
Best of luck, Jeff!
I once saw Ronald Shannon Jackson playwith a group at the Westfield Jazz Festival (a summer 2 hour street gig, at which I almost never see anyone well known, and generally only find occasional groups I'd pay to see). I recognized him and spoke to him a bit; he was also surprised I knew who he was.

When you hear some music you just know that it is going to be your friend for the longest time.
It is a quite wonderful clear, sunny day today though.
Lineup just announced.

My favorite mute is the plunger mute, because it actually comes from toilet plungers (hopefully unused).
Let's all meet here: wfmu.org...

Thanks, Jeff and folx! See you in the next playlist!
I hope.
