I listened to WCBN in the early 90s, and was surprised (late at night) that they could play experimental music on the radio. I had only discovered experimental music two or three years earlier. Freeform connected to the possibility of sounds that were off the map.

My only chatroom experience with Napster- I didn't even know that was a thing - was a guy messaged me, asking if he should leave his computer on, as I was downloading a really long song and it was taking several hours.

I think around '04/'05 I abandoned all my Blogger product related activity, my old music blog, etc., and ceased to be Chardman and walked the earth as Charman the White until I metamorphosed into Rich in Washington, although I cannot remember why, exactly.
