Good morning Bill. I'm on a train to London on my way to France to see the Aged Ps. Very happy to catch you live in your old slot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14am
Brian in UK:

Hey Bill, Stanley 'n Scraps.
Dog walked, chickens fed and now to paint the stair well. Rather than badly!!

Stanley, are you taking Eurostar?
Avatar 3:16am
Bill Mac:

Did I actually do this at one point in my life? I'm already gassed! I think now that I'm in the room things are picking up. Happy Friday all!
Avatar 3:21am
Scraps:

Bill Mac, I’ve been listening to your archive again, and you played Les Crane: I never actually heard “Desiderata” until two days ago when you played it, even though I played “Deteriorata” a thousand times because it’s hysterical. Even though I had never heard the original parodied. It’s even funnier now.
Avatar 3:23am
Scraps:

Ah, love Thinking Fellers. Have all of them. I think.
Avatar 3:24am
Bill Mac:

Was Deteriorata done by National Lampoon?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24am
Brian in UK:

Scraps, people used to have posters of that text.
  3:25am
Stanley:

Hi Brian. Unfortunately not. Stansted airport. It is possible to do the Eurostar journey in one long day getting in at around eleven at night but with no chance of a leisurely lunch in Paris
Avatar 3:25am

Phillip Johnston! Well. I wish I could see him (or Joel Forrester) live anymore....

I'd have to agree with Brian on that one..... turgid indeed...

We've arrived at York, perhaps my favourite station. It has this pub with incredible beer. Front is on the street and the back on the platform. Perfect place to break your journey

most important gig of the week here was the tribute show for Damien Lovelock of The Celibate Rifles last sunday. one is still inclined to think they would be revered around the world had they not been SO australian. jello biafra flew in just to do a half hour with them. and i was reminded that "electravision mantra" transitions from the stooges to nirvana with peerless ease. even after 35 years, they were still magnificent

Vix. I'm sure we'll *meet* again on the boards, now that you're in the swim.
In the meantime The Dreadnought is my local watering hole of choice and Salthorse for amazing beer and the best burgers and, of course, The Hanging Bat for great beer (with attitude thrown in) but you probably know that one. Take care and good luck with the move
