Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm melinda:

Avatar 7:02pm spacebrother:

Hey all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I sound professional?? Really? You've made my day :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm Rich in Washington:

Hi melinda! Hi GeorgyGirl! Hi Mr. Fab! Helloooo, spacebrother!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I always think I sound like a waffling idiot. lol.
Avatar 7:04pm spacebrother:

That's a good description of how I sound.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm tw2sheds:

It has waffle in it, how could it be wrong?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:05pm Otis Fodder:

Hi Greg, quick hello to say, hello! Listening in the orange and green kitchen this eve.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@Otis - we should all come over to yours and you can make chilli or something and we can help clean your oven :-)
Avatar 7:07pm spacebrother:

Otis! My man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm Rich in Washington:

Love that Bonzos comp.
Avatar 7:09pm spacebrother:

Otis' place is clean and neat. I've had the pleasure of a visit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I may have to buy this t-shirt :-)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar 7:15pm spacebrother:

Had to play this after last week's discussion of G&C
Avatar 7:15pm Mr Fab:

Clownvis Presley?! Is he really, like, a clown Elvis?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I love this song :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm Rich in Washington:

This is my favorite G&C album. My copy is frustratingly missing its title track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

It doesn't have Freeze Frame on it??? That's not on :-(
Avatar 7:17pm spacebrother:

@Fab - Yes. His whole act is being a clown Elvis, I guess.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm Rich in Washington:

@GeorgyGirl @7:09: That shirt! It's hilarious!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I used to play this really loud to annoy my mother. lol
Avatar 7:18pm spacebrother:

I still may play a side or so of "Consequences."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@Rich - it's so cute, isn't it? I love little Peanuts' Donald Fagen :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm Rich in Washington:

Yeah, I think it's a mispressing of a incorrect master or something. Freeze Frame is listed on the jacket and label, but it's actually Silent Running, a contemporaneous single B-side.
Avatar 7:19pm spacebrother:

@GG - HA! Good idea! I WIsh I'd known about it while I was still living with my parents.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

My "drunk at parties" thing is the rapping bit of "Snack Attack" ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm Rich in Washington:

I think I played that Godley and Creme Gizmotron demo flexi on one of my first Sheena shows. I think.
Avatar 7:20pm spacebrother:

@ Rich - that might be worth something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I think you did :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm Rich in Washington:

They're just brilliant. I adore them. I wish they were still doing music together.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm Otis Fodder:

Wow, just ran back to computer to say, wow, this is unusally great!

And... yes to chili... try to keep the place clean, been procrastinating pulling out the stove, found a couple of peanuts and what I think was a slice of a plum?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm Rich in Washington:

The Upper Crust are hilarious live!
Avatar 7:26pm spacebrother:

I've seen them twice. Absolute greatness.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm Rich in Washington:

I really want a complete 18th century French aristocrat outfit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm Rich in Washington:

I think it's time for me to see Repo Man again.
Avatar 7:34pm spacebrother:

Yeah. I remember people walking out of the theater when it was originally released.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Singing along here and debating a cup of tea.
Avatar 7:37pm spacebrother:

GG is still here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

You can't get rid of me that easy ;-) lol
Avatar 7:37pm Mr Fab:

Japanese New Wave night here at sheena's!
Avatar 7:42pm spacebrother:

I'm playing all this grown-up music. I'll recover.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm melinda:

@spacebrother really? Repo Man was such an important movie in my formative years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Loving the show :-)
Avatar 7:44pm spacebrother:

@ melinda - Yeah. People couldn't handle it, which made me think it was much more important. And this was in L.A.
Avatar 7:44pm Mr Fab:

Melinda, "Repo Man" was indeed a classic, but the squares could not dig it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm melinda:

Maybe they were insulted Scientologists.
Avatar 7:45pm spacebrother:

@ GG - Thank you! It's the non- Stop-Hitting-Yourself side of my musical taste.
Avatar 7:46pm spacebrother:

@ melinda :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm tw2sheds:

They don't get insulted, they get even
Avatar 7:47pm spacebrother:

"The science of matter over mind."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I love the SHY side too :-)
Avatar 7:48pm spacebrother:

@tw - I received a couple of letters from them when I published a zine in the 1990s. They lightly threatened me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm melinda:

I feel like a lot of the vibe and esthetic was absorbed by mainstream film, but yeah, at the time there hadn't been anything like it that I was aware of.
Avatar 7:48pm Mr Fab:

Oh yeah, "Diarrhetics." I think Harlan Ellison made that same joke.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm Rich in Washington:

and Rumble Fish. I should see that again too. Has it aged well?
Avatar 7:50pm spacebrother:

@Rich - I would bet it hasn't.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm melinda:

I don't know if I saw Rumble Fish. I saw the other S. E. Hinton movies and loved the books.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

A rabbi doing Misirlou? YES!!! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm Rich in Washington:

It was the weirder, artier of the Hinton adaptations. I remember really liking it at the time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm Linda Lee:

loved those books as a pre-teen. yes.
Avatar 7:53pm spacebrother:

I loved those books too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53pm Linda Lee:

they led me out of the 1960s & into my teenage years, i do think.
Avatar 7:54pm spacebrother:

I think this was part of the proposed "Miserlou Loves Company" show suggested by Rich or MBomb which I may still do.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55pm Rich in Washington:

Do it! I might have a meager Miserlou or two to add to the fray.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm Linda Lee:

Frankie does remind me of the spanish lessons i'm watching online lately.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm melinda:

@spacebrother haha. Nice to hear the vocalized versions.
Avatar 7:58pm Mr Fab:

Now I want to hear that acappella Misirlou in a mash up with Dick Dale.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

"Stop Hitting Yourself - worthy staying up for!" :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Rich in Washington:

Great show, spacebrother! Thanks for making radio!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01pm nostrangerer:

The other Okies. Not the dust bowl. Enjoyed it very much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01pm Rich in Washington:

I have to do the same thing! It gets really hot by the end of my show. One more reason why I am waiting for Fall to go to a full two hours.
Avatar 8:02pm Mr Fab:

The outsiders
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Excellent show - many thumbs up from me
Avatar 8:04pm Mr Fabaeso sauce, Spcevro:

Awesome sauce, space bro. Thx!
