So I went back to re-read the story because of a suspicion of mine about the musical selections. They reminded me of Finland's entry in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, "Aina mun pitää" by Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät. Yes, the story is about a person with developmental disabilities. So, were all the musical selections by groups like Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, which is/was made up of people with developmental disabilities?

Nicole:

Yep! Featured tunes by Rudely Interrupted, Heavy Load, The Freddy Cook Rock Band, Station 17, The Kids of Widney High, The Kaos Signing Choir for Deaf & Hearing Children, The Wild Classical Music Ensemble, and FLAME.
