Love your show and international musical offerings. I know female pop and rock music was discouraged as Western by the government in Poland during the 1960s. They did have an interesting artist Ewa Demarczyk. May i request you listen to (on you tube) and maybe play one if her songs. I like Groski I róże. (1000 peas)

Rob Kopp & Sheila: did the womack sisters ever do an album?

By contrast, my last visit to a NYC apartment was to a loft that was smaller than half my 1 BR in north Jersey. No idea how they got furniture through the teeny halls. I assume they somehow planted seeds and grew the couch, bed, etc.

@listener James sounds like a launch point for a Studs Terkel book...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm Drunken Creep:

Crystals sounding great as always, followed beautifully by Bat For Lashes. Very nice broadcast today, glad to listen. Took me for a bit of a journey of memories thinking about the service entrances of Manhattan. The last five years I spent rolling dollies in and out of those entrances nearly seven days a week. They are cities within the city. 8 months or so met a girl and decided to take a jump moving across the country, and now the manhattan service entrances are made of memories instead of concrete to me. I once worked in a building where the doors were made of gold and were not meant to be shut, haha, I'll reserve my opinion about how I felt about that, but it's fun to look back upon. Anyhow, thank you DJ Sheila B, have a wonderful week/end everyone, peace!
