	🌜 ♥ 6:33am dale: brian - house i grew up in had a pump at the top of the well head driven by an electric motor - patenet date was about 1915. it drove a piston that pulled a series of oak rods fitted together with a leather piece at the end that made the pump seal and vacuum - it was essentially an electric handpump but it always worked.. someone convinced my mother to replace it with a new in ground pump and i have the old pump in my shed as a keepsake.

Where we live was the orchard for the farmhouse next door, so the well supplied water from a holding tank further up the hill. Then when the water company put in a deep borehole for the village it became redundant. We are still obliged to supply water if needed. Really want it to help water the garden.

	🌜 ♥ 6:33am dale: brian - house i grew up in had a pump at the top of the well head driven by an electric motor - patenet date was about 1915. it drove a piston that pulled a series of oak rods fitted together with a leather piece at the end that made the pump seal and vacuum - it was essentially an electric handpump but it always worked.. someone convinced my mother to replace it with a new in ground pump and i have the old pump in my shed as a keepsake.

Where we live was the orchard for the farmhouse next door, so the well supplied water from a holding tank further up the hill. Then when the water company put in a deep borehole for the village it became redundant. We are still obliged to supply water if needed. Really want it to help water the garden.
