Meet Mdou Moctar, the scorching visionary Tuareg rock guitarist! You may know Moctar from his star turn in the first-ever Tuareg-language dramatic movie, a desert-rocking adaptation of Purple Rain. "Effacer" basically means to wipe out or destroy - I didn't quite catch that in the interview! He's critical in this song of French colonialists (and others), as he sees it, taking advantage of less powerful people.
