Avatar 8:10pm Atomic Jon:

Yeah there were all kinds of future stars on his productions !!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm Thomas Torment:

I thought that was him - I read a big argument online a couple years back about who played the lead guitar on that side.
Avatar 8:13pm CC:

Very interesting background info with all these cuts...a robot couldn't do any better!!!...hehehe...:)O(:
Avatar 8:13pm Atomic Jon:

@Thomas I would have to check for sure but he was definitely on some Sutch tracks !
Avatar 8:14pm Atomic Jon:

Thanks CC !!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm Thomas Torment:

Right on - I say it's him!
Avatar 8:18pm Atomic Jon:

Keep your eyes peeled for "A Life in the Death of Joe Meek", a documentary that's been in the works for 10 years or so... There's a trailer on YouTube.
Avatar 8:25pm CC:

The show kind of reminds me of how Elliot Mince (sp) talks about the Lost Lennon tapes on Westwood One radio station???...
Avatar 8:26pm Atomic Jon:

Ah !!!
Avatar 8:34pm CC:

I suppose keeping secrets has always been a source of anxiety for some people?!?...lol...:)O(:
Avatar 8:35pm Debbie D.:

Loving the show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm Matt Clarke:

Good evening
Avatar 8:36pm Atomic Jon:

Totally CC, Joe was under lots of pressure. Perhaps it's hard to imagine today how things were then.
Avatar 8:38pm Atomic Jon:

Thanks Debbie !!! Hi Matt !!! Thanks to you both for hanging out !!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39pm Matt Clarke:

The guitar on this is insane
Avatar 8:39pm Atomic Jon:

This version of Singing the Blues is so mad, the sound makes me think of Joe's amphetamine trouble...
Avatar 8:40pm CC:

My son is in a band...he plays some pretty big gigs and those boys are lucky to make 500 bucks a night...maybe with some amenities!!!... that's why people try to take it on the road!!!...:)O(:
Avatar 8:42pm Atomic Jon:

Indeed CC !!! ;-)
Avatar 8:44pm Atomic Jon:

I love these 65-66 tracks from Joe Meek because he is still putting his special touch and using his very personal production techniques.
Avatar 8:46pm Atomic Jon:

The screaming rave-up !!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48pm Matt Clarke:

King of guitar tone!
Avatar 8:49pm Atomic Jon:

And King of Compression, holy cow !!!! :-D
Avatar 8:49pm CC:

I suppose it's all like some kind of art that someone winds up owning..!?!...:)O(:
Avatar 8:54pm Atomic Jon:

Another insane rave-up on this one !!!

Nice show. Ya kinda expect this type of Greatness via the Mitey 'FMU from Debbie, or MAYBE Rex . . . But, it seems she (D) is "semi-retired"?!

You might want to remove the sp@m "reply" on the Ichiban page (URL referenced above...)
