Listener comments!

  3:03pm harold fridkis:

Hi Bill. Thanks again for another Blackhole Bandstand on SiriusXM's Underground Garage channel! It was well worth listening to.
Avatar 3:06pm Sid:

I gotta go with the better variety here. Too many also-ran overplayeds in the other show's format. Not Bill's fault I guess. This is the show he gets to program 97% of the tracks to his liking.
Avatar 3:07pm Sid:

Great music for weed-whackin' between the thindershowers out here in the woods of WV
Avatar 3:08pm Sid:

or thundershowers.....
Avatar 3:11pm Sid:

Don't think I've ~ever~ heard a bad Richard X. Heyman track!
Avatar 3:14pm Sid:

Think it was CD 3 that failed for Michael Shelley yesterday as well. Ahem!
  3:16pm harold fridkis:

always remember that Bill has the right to play what he wants on the Teenage Wasteland.
Avatar 3:17pm Sid:

Yep, with the possible exception of playing something off the FMU new list, though he probably contributes to that too.
  3:18pm Listener Robert:

He also has the right to have his mic open during the set, even if he doesn't realize it.
Avatar 3:19pm Sid:

Heh, sounds like the mic's live. Careful, Bill!
Avatar 3:20pm Sid:

Good thing he doesn't sing along!
Avatar 3:22pm Sid:

The hazard of listening through headphones instead of the studio monitors, which should be dead when the mic's on.
  3:23pm harold fridkis:

real rock and roll, especially garage rock, lives here in the Teenage Wasteland, and that's why I listen each weekend. the same goes for the blackhole bandstand, too!
Avatar 3:26pm Sid:

Judging by the Governors, hard to tell which is the worse side of the river to be on!
  3:44pm AL:

Did you know that Alice Cooper and Groucho Marx were good buddies?
Avatar 3:51pm Sid:

So Alice was more than just the intellectual in Wayne's World. Perhaps they met on the talk show circuit?
  3:52pm harold fridkis:

thank you so much for playing can't help thinking about me by David Bowie. it's a shame it never made the charts. it's a good song, too!
Avatar 4:06pm Blues Mandinga:

Is there no Playlist?
Avatar 4:06pm Sid:

Bill loads the playlist sometime tonight
  4:27pm Mike tp:

a glorious last forty minuto of listening pleasure.thanks Bill..!!!some choices there..grade A....
  4:28pm AL:

Alice and Groucho met while dueting on "Lidia the Tattooed Lady" at a Frank Sinatra birthday party.
  4:38pm CC:

Oh yeah!!!...:)O(:
Avatar 4:42pm Sid:

Juniper! Boys get blamed for everything these days.
  4:44pm AL:

Farfisa organ - the foundation of garage rock.
Avatar 4:46pm Sid:

Morticia! That's French!
Avatar 4:49pm Mailman Tom:

Ike and Tina. What a team!
  4:49pm AL:

Too bad Ike was such a brute. They made great music together.
  4:50pm P-90:

Great Ike + Tina track
  4:52pm CC:

Glen!!!...:)0(:
Avatar 4:57pm Sid:

Usually have to wait until Christmas to hear dogs. Or that Jane's Addiction track.
  7:06pm Bill Kelly:

Re: UG...I program my own show but use their extensive playbook for 80-85% of it.
Re: Leaving the mic on...not a good idea when one has had TS since the age of 2.
Avatar 3:38am Sid:

Good restraint BK. Didn't hear anything amiss during the open mic. Not even an off-key sing-a-long. Of course, the DJ advice is to always treat a mic like it's live.
  10:15am Bill Kelly:

The last time I had left the mic on for an extended period was in early 2018. I was in TS mode before I realized the mic was on.
