Avatar 7:09pm spacebrother:

Yes. Anni-Frid Lingstad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm Rich in Washington:

Hello, Martinibomb!
Avatar 7:09pm spacebrother:

Hey Martini man!
Avatar 7:11pm Mr Fab:

Man I miss the days when supermarkets would play this type of stuff in the store instead of bad loud pop music
Avatar 7:11pm Martinibomb:

Yay the plastics one of my all time fave bands
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm Rich in Washington:

Yes. We need to bring Muzak-like music back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Rich in Washington:

I heart The Plastics!
Avatar 7:12pm spacebrother:

@ Martinibomb - Mine too!
Avatar 7:13pm spacebrother:

@ Rich - I have a photo of them in front of the Hollywood Palladium on my wall here.
Avatar 7:13pm Martinibomb:

I miss the days when girl from impanema was kind of joke because of elevators
Avatar 7:14pm Martinibomb:

SB have you listened to Melon Group the project after Plastics?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm Rich in Washington:

I like listening to the livestream of the Seeburg 1000 Background Music System. It's a lovingly restored unit that is playing and streaming live to the internet. It's like going shopping in some supermarket, shopping mall, c. 1965
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm Rich in Washington:

I used to play this first person shooter Sega Genesis game in the 90s that would play Ipanema whenever you tool the elevator to other levels.
Avatar 7:15pm spacebrother:

@ Rich - :D
Avatar 7:16pm Martinibomb:

Rich what game? I love sega games
Avatar 7:16pm Mr Fab:

wow rich do you have a link to that background side?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Rich in Washington:

I believe it was called Zero Tolerance. It was the only video game I ever bought.
Avatar 7:17pm Mr Fab:

Background SITE?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm Rich in Washington:

I will post it to the group. It's pretty interesting. I just don't like posting audio/video links on people's live shows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm Rich in Washington:

Here's the main page: seeburg1000.com
Avatar 7:19pm spacebrother:

I don't mind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm Rich in Washington:

The main page is purely informational. non-streaming. The stream's fairly interesting, but nothing particularly weird, odd.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm Rich in Washington:

Oh man, I LOVE the Toy Dolls!
Avatar 7:22pm spacebrother:

As I say, they were the punk Bonzos.
Avatar 7:23pm spacebrother:

Olga has videos on Youutube where he teaches you to play their hits.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm Rich in Washington:

but I've heard things like the system breaking down, records skipping, etc.
it was a sort of jukebox that played a big stack of records - sort of like an old automatic turntable, but had two opposing sets of arms/styli, so it could play both sides of the record without it flipping or there being much of a gap while it switched sides. Each record side was something like an hour.
Avatar 7:32pm Martinibomb:

Anything that ot punks punk hahah lol awesome
Avatar 7:34pm Mr Fab:

Never heard that Oingo Boingo. Wonder where its from?
Avatar 7:35pm spacebrother:

I think it was on a compilation of LA bands. I used to have the vinyl.
Avatar 7:35pm spacebrother:

I can send it along if you like.
Avatar 7:36pm Mr Fab:

Thanks! thatd be cool to add to the Stream.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm Rich in Washington:

Oh man!
Avatar 7:37pm Martinibomb:

Avatar 7:38pm Mr Fab:

Avatar 7:39pm spacebrother:

@ Martinibomb. - Got to hear that!
Avatar 7:42pm Martinibomb:

I had been toying with an international mix of rocky horror so loving this
Avatar 7:42pm Mr Fab:

Like "Hair," "Rocky Horror" rocks in any language.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm Santos L. Halper:

First time here, digging the Rocky Horror Variations, etc
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm Rich in Washington:

I love this comp!
Avatar 7:43pm spacebrother:

I was too. But I only have a few examples.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm Rich in Washington:

Hello, Santos! Welcome to the Jungle Room!
Avatar 7:43pm Martinibomb:

Hiya Santos welcome to the Jungle Room
Avatar 7:44pm spacebrother:

Yes, Hey Santos!
Avatar 7:45pm spacebrother:

This is a backwards cover. Bonzos did it later.
Avatar 7:47pm Martinibomb:

This la bamba cover is like the most fun version ever
Avatar 7:47pm spacebrother:

It's pretty damned carefree.
Avatar 7:50pm spacebrother:

I (and all of us) could do hundreds of cover shows. I'll be doing more in the future to be sure.
Avatar 7:51pm Martinibomb:

Superb show today. Had a great time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm Santos L. Halper:

i think this is the best Come Together cover i've heard. Very creepy, Floydian
Avatar 7:52pm spacebrother:

Thanks Martini and Santos!
Avatar 7:52pm Mr Fab:

That was a German "schlager" version of La Bamba
Avatar 7:52pm Martinibomb:

@santos agree! This is great never heard it before
Avatar 7:53pm spacebrother:

Refresh screen for actual artist of this track - Bugotak.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar 7:56pm Martinibomb:

Love the overtones i want a tuvan version of boots now
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm Rich in Washington:

Yat Kha did a pretty crazy entire album of whacked out cover songs. Lots of Throatsinging on it.
Avatar 7:58pm spacebrother:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm Rich in Washington:

Great show, spacebrother!
Avatar 7:59pm spacebrother:
