Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm Rob W:

Thanks Karen! Why I enjoyed some excellent leftovers just before the show thanks to a super new branch of the NJ Szechuan restaurant Chengdu 1 that opened in Jersey City right near the Hoboken border!

wonderful, fun show, Rob -- thank-you!
(been listening while *attempting* to do some Spring cleaning -- just not signed in until now)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm ɨkɛ:

@xtina, I've lived in both, and in terms of events NY is superior but in honestly many other ways I like NJ just as much or more. Especially for food, e.g. Paterson's Middle Eastern cuisine beats Bay Ridge's from what I've tried, and NJ has better Ethiopian (in South Orange) too. Plus, Gelone in Lyndhurst has better Italian than anything I've tried in Brooklyn. Not that I'm an expert on Italian food by any means.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36pm хtina:

@Ike Yeah NY State schools how I wish I was in on that. BUT NJ has a little of everything good and worthwhile despite its rep. Paterson is a good place for under-represented cuisines. Lots of good Turkish and middle eastern restos and specialty stores.
Avatar 8:36pm TDK60:

hear here...
Avatar 8:37pm Doug in JC:

Chengdu1 looks great, Rob. It's cool how many Chinese places are ditching the old standard menu and coming out with more authentic dishes. I love how terrible their location is too!
Avatar 8:41pm Blues Mandinga:

Hi @Rob. Do you have listened Bozá from Colombia?
Avatar 8:41pm Blues Mandinga:

Bozá "the new gaita".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm ɨkɛ:

Oh I liked Chengdu 1 in Cedar Grove (near Montclair) but that was so long ago that it was when that cinema still existed there.
@xtina, Paterson has good Peruvian too! I had no idea until some friends turned me on to it. There's a whole Peruvian community there.
Avatar 8:47pm Doug in JC:

@ike Peru opened an embassy in Paterson because of how many people are there
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:47pm chresti:

Where are you going, Rob?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm ɨkɛ:

@Doug in JC, holy crap! I had a great tiradito in Paterson once but I don't remember which restaurant.
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:56pm chresti:

Thanks Rob!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:57pm Granny Spicy Tuna:

thank you for another delightful program!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 8:57pm Bas NL:

Thanks Rob! Great show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm Rob W:

Doug, I agree! And Blues Mandinga, I'll check out Bozá, thanks for the tip! Thanks TDK60, Ike and Bas, GSAT, Chresti and everyone, stay tuned for Marty McSorley and have a great Sunday!
