Finally got around to watching the Morgan Lee doc. Sad, that.
Avatar 3:01pm βrian:

Eh, Lee Morgan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm CJ@Shawnee OH:

Didn't know Kiefer liked singing. Knew Kevin Bacon loved guitar and singing. Saw him on Daryl Hall's show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm CJ@Shawnee OH:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm The Oscar:

So glad WFMU has finally found room for squares.
  3:16pm kevlicki:

Is Irwin fishing for post marathon donations rn?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm CJ@Shawnee OH:

Only with a better soundtrack!!!
Avatar 3:17pm Lixiviated Life:

You know what? It's growing on me.
  3:17pm John from Florham Park:

@Queems afternoon I think shelia still has her hooks in Irwin
  3:17pm Laura L:

I don't know this song from before you played it, but in haste, I just misread the title as "Your Body is a Wonder rug."
  3:17pm flashbazbo:

“Your bodily functions are like knots berry farm”
Avatar 3:18pm Roberto:

Please play more Walter Donkersloot & Pet.
  3:18pm John from Florham Park:

@Manana I mean I am still getting the stream I am sorry
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm The Oscar:

I remember my best friend in high school was pretty into that John Mayer album when it came out (though he'll deny it today). I would always sneer, and put in Songs in the Key of Z instead. Guess the joke's on me!
  3:20pm flashbazbo:

More like grand central station maybe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hi Irwin and friends
  3:23pm Manana:

Just hoping the FMU tech team jumps into action.
Avatar 3:24pm AnAnonymousParty:

How poignant, I had a green frisbee once, long ago. I wonder whatever happened to it?
  3:24pm John from Florham Park:

@Manana getting the stream from both my ipad and my iPhone
Avatar 3:25pm Irwin:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm Phillippe Bastille:

However, the app seemd to have a 10 minute timer last night, for both the live stream and archives
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hey there JFFP
  3:28pm John from Florham Park:

@phillipe wonder when they are going to update for IOS
  3:29pm John from Florham Park:

@phillipe it has been one of those days when I have been off and on
  3:29pm Manana:

Wonder if it goes out via different lines. Pretty ignorant of technology. But in the 12212, the live stream is silent. No probz, will just get my pledge pro-rated.
Avatar 3:30pm Roberto:

I'd also accept anything by solo Donkersloot or solo Pet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm CJ@Shawnee OH:

What the hell else would we talk about. LOL
Avatar 3:31pm Lixiviated Life:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm thriftstoreleather:

  3:37pm prudy:

really great!
  3:40pm John from Florham Park:

@P-90 that would be a interesting pairing
Avatar 3:40pm Irwin:

Ad Infinitum composed by Carla Bley
  3:46pm flashbazbo:

Thanks for the Steve Kuhn Irwin. I listen to him when nothing else will do. Great singer of his own material and also works with a great female voc.
  3:46pm prudy:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm thriftstoreleather:

Mole? Mole? Did somebody say "Mole"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm Lunchbox3030:

I can get annoyed by fiddle but this way purty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm CJ@Shawnee OH:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm Lunchbox3030:

so excited for the moondog special!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm Carmichael:

Heya Irwin and kids.
Avatar 4:29pm Listening Out There:

Maybe Moondog program will mention the status of the Moondog documentary, hint, hint?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm G:

@SB: Yep, they used the Moondog name in that Beach Bum film in theatres now.
Avatar 4:30pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Jaw-dropping human being.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:31pm Carmichael:

Well, Moondoggie has long been a surfer name. There was one on every beach.
  4:35pm David in London:

I visited Moondog’s grave in Germany a few years back. It was subtle but impressive.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:35pm Carmichael:

This could only be 1 bass player, I was thinking. Yep, Victor Wooten.
Avatar 4:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...WooEleven even...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40pm Parq:

David, it's poignant to think of Moondog's grave in Germany. Never considered more than an amusing novelty in the U.S., he found all the respect and admiration he craved and then some when he moved to Germany. It seems that's where he belonged all along.
Avatar 4:42pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Like dressing as a Viking he knew it...
Avatar 4:45pm βrian:

This is quite silly. Thanks, Irwin.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:01pm ɨkɛ:

Oh, it's not the end of the world? I keep expecting it. I almost feel let down that it was just a test. Almost.
Avatar 5:05pm Irwin:

You'll have had lots of time to prepare, Ike.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08pm ⓘⓚⓔ:

This is only a test. If your planet were actually being incinerated, baked, fried, ground up, or smashed into smithereens by an unprecedented nuclear holocaust caused by a senile drooling orange nutjob being in charge, the message you heard would have been followed by official instructions, or the sound of this radio station turning extra-crispy. This is only a test.
Avatar 5:09pm Listening Out There:

Strilich is stirring and sterling...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm queems:

oh boy
Avatar 5:11pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Oh come on Earth - the demolition notice was on file in a nearby star system...
  5:13pm Listener Robert:

Dance like a squid?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17pm Phillippe Bastille:

I choose to think the apocalypse has happened and our reward for being good little humans is that we get to listen to WFMU. This supports both the reward carrot of Christianity and my own reputation of being an obsequious brown noser
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18pm common:

Avatar 5:19pm Irwin:

Love the Joan O song, but hate the sax solo. Ruins everything. If only they'd had James Chance on the session.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21pm Davis:

i really enjoyed that Joan song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm Davis:

i thought we were living in a computer simulation
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm Carmichael:

Sax solos are so 80s.
  5:25pm SeanG:

that John Scofield album A Go Go is great! haven't heard it in a while . thanks Irwin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm Davis:

this sax player is a smooth operator

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm Phillippe Bastille:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm queems:

it came out in 2005
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43pm Doug in JC:

@phillippe you should seek out the album, it's good
  5:43pm SeanG:

  5:45pm Johnzon:

  5:47pm andreb:

Those Roches weren't too sloppy on their harmonies
  5:48pm SeanG:

never really listened to The Roches that much, but this is blowing me away!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:48pm Phillippe Bastille:

wasn't there some link to the Wainwrights?
  5:49pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

If you really want to be impressed check out the roches cover of the hallelujah chorus. Perfection
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm Parq:

Thanks for playing "Runs in the Family", one of the prettiest love songs I know.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Phillippe Bastille:

wow, just saw Maggie has already slipped off this mortal coil
  5:53pm Laura L:

Thanks for a Sabu send off for the evening, sigh.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm Parq:

Philippe, yeah, sad day for New York music.
  5:53pm prudy:

Ferretti sounds a lot like Sinatra
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm SeanG:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Phillippe Bastille:

Thanks for the show, Irwin
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Little Danny:

Irwin, you've probably addressed this before, but where did Ferretti's canned arrangements come from?
Avatar 5:56pm Irwin:

LD: Sing Along with Riddle (as in "Nelson"), an early karaoke-style LP on Capitol.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm Little Danny:

That makes sense, thanks. Riddle was the best.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm chris:

thanks, Irwin.
