Beats mismatched. New mystic moods. The International Style. Pressed and dressed. Queasy listening. New ways to fail. More is more. Backroom room tones.

Ben! WHOA, really? I just discovered this album and it's been a real balm to me over a weird tough week or two! How were they live?

Ben Abs:

It’s a gem of a record, tbh it was a good live show without being an extraordinary experience, they had a band and it was very celebratory, but the enjoyment in the record for me was its intimacy and dreaminess, as much as much as it joyfulness, some o f these elements were lost live. Bu hey, I guess the show has a different function after all

... but i'm shutting down now
Thank you it's been Excellent!
take care
Avatar 3:54am
Jesse Dorris:

Huh, I can't quite picture these songs with a full band. So much of it is the intimacy. But I'd sure love to see how it works!

Hey coelacantho, thanks for listening, glad to help you shut down :)

All is well here in Yerevan, Jesse - there's finally another club open for forward-thinking electronic music here. Hehe, let's see if it lasts one year!
Avatar 4:55am
Jesse Dorris:

Ooh, that's exciting! Sometimes one good year is all you can expect these days. Even in Brooklyn, one good year is an achievement.

Hey, now! Accidentally listening in Gainesville, FL... home of many weird bands, lots of electronic music tending toward noise, but things as we're hearing now as well. It's not that common, and not on the radio at all as far as I know. I've waited long years to hear this radio show! Not so long ago I might have been fumbling with a cassette about now to try to catch some of it. Fortunately there are archives. Been listening to WFMU for a year or so now, much enjoy it but it does seem to tend to noisy novelties.... I really am glad to have a little Space Music! Reminds me of the dear old "Hearts of Space" program.. in a really good way. Thanks!
Avatar 5:04am
Jesse Dorris:

Hey, thanks so much for listening! I needed to shake off the space a bit for the last hour, but happy it worked for your ears!
