Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23am crateslinger:

Hey Diezel Tea! Congrats on your wedding. Sorry for making jokes the other night. I was a little drunk and thought I was funny. All the best, seriously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24am crateslinger:

I’m married 28 years and the luckiest guy I know.
Avatar 9:25am mb:

I'm here for the cheap reggae 45's and everything that happens before and after that. Hi!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30am steveo:

love this piece. is this one from 2016?
Avatar 9:31am ben abs:

@stevo - it is - gospelofmars.bandcamp.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32am steveo:

Avatar 9:34am northguineahills:

I heart volcano the bear!
Avatar 9:35am northguineahills:

weird that Diezel Tea's vid didn't work, but the still photos worked. I never have problem w/ my Euro friends' imgur vids...
Avatar 9:38am ben abs:

ja @ngh, was a shame!
Avatar 9:40am ben abs:

didn't see any photos tho
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am steveo:

just bought this album on band camp; thanks scott, for reminding me
Avatar 9:47am northguineahills:

@ben abs: Let's just say diesel tea is currently more handsome then I am (I may be back in my prime in a few months, and easy on the eyes).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am sphere:

hello all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am steveo:

all of my bandcamp purchases are female artists; i did not do this on purpose but I'm good with it.
Avatar 9:48am northguineahills:

Meg & Mary, Pharoah! *squee*!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am sphere:

thanks to bandcamp, i am loving a Swedish experimental techno duo named SHXCXCHCXSH. huzzah!
Avatar 9:51am βrian:

Joining the rally. Good morning.
Avatar 10:01am ben abs:

@NGH - I'll take your word for it ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:02am Passaic River Blues:

@sphere: I am going to investigate that. Thank you for the tip.
Avatar 10:02am Chris from DC:

I find myself adding to the Bandcamp wishlist during a number of shows. Added a couple from this one.
Avatar 10:02am βrian:

An island offshoot? Would that be a reef? A peninsula?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05am steveo:

that could be a record number of clicky stars for harp music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07am steveo:

probably alice coltrane has it beat
Avatar 10:21am Chris from DC:

This is amazing.
Avatar 10:29am βrian:

Gotta skank off to meetings ...
Avatar 10:31am northguineahills:

My old favorite reggae record store was Kulture Lion, on Fulton and Clinton (Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy). I got some amazing dub vinyl the were fraying at the edges, and the labels pasted off-center).
Avatar 10:32am northguineahills:

(last time I went back it wasn't there :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am Passaic River Blues:

@NGH: I remember buying a Cornell Campbell record there once. A great place, though I patronized it but a few times.
Avatar 10:35am northguineahills:

@PRB: I lived a few blocks away for a few years. Let's just say some of my student loans kept them in business...
  10:36am BLT:

Mer merrrr!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37am Barney Grubbs:

it's funny that the stream page is showing a photo of a cassette for the cheap Bunny Wailer 45 (Gorowski, "I don't believe you", track 6 is entitled "Wailer", which must be how it popped up)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38am Passaic River Blues:

@NGH: hahaha I sort of couch-surfed in a place on Clinton for about six months in 2001-2. Senegalese food on Fulton kept me going.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41am Ike:

I had some really good Senegalese at a nice place in Harlem called Chez Jacob recently, but I've never tried any in Brooklyn, if any still exists.
Avatar 10:41am northguineahills:

oh, scheisse, PRB! I was there 2000-2003 (then the muggings ensued, and I moved to the young Billyburg) I ate there as well!
Avatar 10:43am Sem:

Hello, Scott, those of the long rally, and those not. Like the way this set is headed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am Webhamster Henry:

Diggin' the surface noise!
  10:44am yippie:

I like eating at mee sum
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am Passaic River Blues:

@Ike: I doubt the place on Fulton survived, but Chez Jacob, through a quick Googling, looks fantastic. Once you have good jollof rice, you're hooked.

@NGH: there was an okra dish there that I could not get enough of. I do wish I had hit up Kulture Lion more often. There was all kinds of dub stuff there I haven't seen since.
Avatar 10:49am Wild Neil||Peace All:

ITs only 60 in my office, my feet are cold and I am wearing boots and wool socks. My boss only lets me turn the heat up to 62F to save money. I am wearing a winter cap and a light jacket.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am steveo:

@ngh my son goes to middle school on fulton, east of there; he has not been mugged yet (knock on wood)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am The Oscar:

Food for thought: there is both a comedian named Bob Marley and a reggae artist named Charlie Chaplin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am Stanley:

Riddim go forward
Avatar 10:51am northguineahills:

ack, missed reggae due to work....

got down to 33F/1C here in FL, garden seemed to survive. supposed to get up to 55F/13C today(cold for Nov down this aways).
Avatar 10:54am northguineahills:

@steveo: My friend bought a condo on Nostrand & Greene and his wife started a bar in 2010 in the hood, I didn't recognize the place (used to live 2 blocks away less then a decade before).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55am steveo:

yeah things a changing fast around there (stop that train, i want to get ON)
Avatar 10:55am northguineahills:

Prince Fari!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59am Ken From Hyde Park:

Go, reggae! Thinking of Jeff Sarge.
Avatar 10:59am northguineahills:

what Ken said....
Avatar 10:59am Wild Neil||Peace All:

"Useless Johnny is a user"? oh a "useless loser". This is a pretty harsh song. Loooo-zer!
Avatar 11:00am northguineahills:

@WN: yes! (to both)
Avatar 11:00am Wild Neil||Peace All:

My fingers are cold too. Wearing fingerless gloves. The space heater under the desk usually helps, though. I don't get it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03am adampsyche:

i'm so pissed that i was in a work meeting for the entire set
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am adampsyche:

speaking of reggae this was one of my favorite sets ever and featured BLT during a duane fill in: www.wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am Scott McDowell:

There's always the archive!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05am Scott McDowell:

Yes agree that was a great show
Avatar 11:07am Wild Neil||Peace All:

I am about ready to start a fire in a trash can. I am that cold. This sucks. Well, at least I might get a bonus for Christmas.
Avatar 11:12am northguineahills:

Dharma Quintet, new to me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12am Scott McDowell:

It's pretty wonderful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20am Ike:

@WN that's some Charles Dickens shit. Labor rights for all! Fires in trash cans for all! Or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am Carmichael:

Heya Scott and peeps, hot or cold.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28am adampsyche:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:39am ɨkɛ:

Actually it's a wee bit cold here at Ye Olde Audiobook Conglomerate with a Grachan Moncur III Conference Room, too. Maybe I'll also start a hobo fire in a trash can.
Avatar 11:42am Chris from DC:

Yay, Noah Howard!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42am steveo:

i'm just going to keep my sweater on
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am Andrew Waterloo:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am Scott McDowell:

Avatar 11:53am northguineahills:

Avatar 11:54am Chris from DC:

Avatar 11:55am ben abs:

The not quite long enough rally - thanks scott, really enjoyed the show
Avatar 11:59am Sem:

Agree with ben abs, but I'll take what I can get. Thank you, Scott. See you next time, electronic ankle bracelet permitting.
Avatar 12:00pm northguineahills:

That Che Chen was very Henry Flyntesque (avant-hillbilly, as Henry called it...)
Avatar 12:01pm northguineahills:

@Chris: It will be in the 80sF/30sC by Friday....
