Listener comments!

  3:08pm Al:

Happy Thanksgiving! I was outside decorating the house for Christmas, and finished just in time to catch the Teenage Wasteland on wfmu.org!
Avatar 3:13pm Sid:

As nice a day as we'll get for awhile since the sun lost its spots.
Avatar 3:15pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...a real gurl!!...
Avatar 3:15pm Sid:

Lux makes the other singers sound like hockey pucks! That's a Don Rickles line.
Avatar 3:16pm Mailman Tom:

I went to a Cramps concert in New Haven some years ago. Lux was wearing a red dress and Ivy was wearing a silver sequin dress and a diamond tiara. I was mesmerized by Ivy, but Lux, not so much!
Avatar 3:18pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

The only thing I seen comes close to the Cramps Live is Iggy.
Avatar 3:31pm Sid:

Actually, WFMU's 91.1 transmitter is in ~West~ Orange. So many pieces to WFMU.
  3:35pm noel:

Just placed Catch a Falling Star and Magic Moments in my 50's collection today had it in pre 50's storage.
  3:36pm noel:

It was a nice day for a walk. Felt like a spring day.
  3:36pm ratty:

i had that perry como album 60 years ago. gee whizz...catch a falling star... nice to hear it again. sorta
Avatar 3:37pm Sid:

Amazing how they make the notion "you only ever told her you love her with liquor on your mind" sound fresh and new!
  3:38pm noel:

He played Hot Diggity Dog.
Avatar 3:42pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Saw a Perry Como thing on PBS. His TV studio became Studio 54...
Avatar 3:44pm Sid:

Local standards station down here in MD plays Perry's version of "I Think I Love You." Partridge Family's version is actually better, which must be intentional as Como has done masterful work.
Avatar 3:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Bitchin' Playlist btw.
Avatar 4:08pm Sid:

Like we're "pleasant company." Dan Ingram airchecks playing all weekend on the internets by the way. rewoundradio.com
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Heh, these guys cobbed a Black Friday deal on a theremin?
Avatar 4:11pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

  4:19pm Al:

Another record with Jimmy Page on guitar??!! He played on everything out of the UK in the '60's!
Avatar 4:21pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Explains Nico hanging w/ BrianJones @ Monterey. That is good optics...
Quicker to list what Page *wasn't* on...Zep were 1/2 StudioPros & 1/2 YoungGuns...
  4:21pm noel:

Now you know why Clapton never was god.
  4:21pm Greek Titan:

Thanks Noel that song before Nico with the female singer was really good!
  4:22pm noel:

It was Titan he's played it before
  4:23pm noel:

obscure DC5
  4:25pm Al:

DC5 were a great band, unfortunately for them, overshadowed by the Beatles and the Stones.
Avatar 4:25pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hey! Hermans made great rekkerds.
  4:33pm noel:

Bill's just trying to get EWE'r Goat.
Avatar 4:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Gotta think DC5 crossed the minds of TheRamones.
  4:40pm Al:

Ramones rescued us from disco.
Avatar 4:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Appreciate for instance getting so many authentic Garage trax here.
Avatar 4:41pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...as in 1960s rarities - but not limited to...
  4:45pm noel:

You've succeeded in finding the most obscure Buddy Holly song. Or pull the rug on us, AND YOU PULLED THE RUG>
  4:46pm noel:

The GUMMIES JUST KICKED IN BILL.
  4:47pm noel:

Sofa just melted and the cat has no where to lie.
  4:47pm Al:

Music Explosion from Mansfield, Ohio. Same town as Ohio Express, and like the Express produced by the Super K bubblegum machine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm Stevel:

Avatar 4:48pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

  5:01pm etymologist:

etymologist etymologist etymologist ! ! !
Swag For Life Member 4:54pm Peapeagirl:

Bill outdoing Bill!
Priceless...
Swag For Life Member 5:28pm Peapeagirl:

I've a 5x7 of Nico on my bureau that I took from the TV screen. I see her everyday, but to hear her played by someone other than me...
