  9:15am GListener MW:

This food-themed set will be all the leftovers I need!
  9:18am GListener MW:

I heartily recommend & request the kid-friendly rap "Country Cooking" by Buck 65
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20am Balls_Benedict:

Good morning Amanda. Not sure if you have time for a request, but a week or so ago we heard "Exercise" from Wonderama on your program. It might've been the week that Joe was standing in (we're fans of both shows). Anyway, our family has had that song stuck in our heads since then and sing it constantly. Seems like it could fit the bill after a gluttonous holiday. Thanks for the awesome tunes. Team Pants (our family)

Good morning all from Punta Gorda, FL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21am Amanda:

Greetings to everyone eating or not eating leftovers! @B_B, we play "Exercise" every week! It will certainly be up.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07am Roger:

Hey Everybody, I am visiting my parents for the holiday. My mom made us a Thanksgiving dinner made entirely of almonds.

It was just nuts!
Swag For Life Member 10:09am tadpoles:

John Lennon loved Edward Lear.
  10:09am Donna:

My inner child is enjoying this show haha Thank you! I'm eating leftovers for breakfast and trying to chill out after Thanksgiving stress.
  10:10am Mike East:

I have a board book of the owl and the pussycat from when I was a kid that I read to my children. Its one of those diorama illustrated books, which I always loved.
  10:11am Donna:

@Roger LOL
  10:13am Mike East:

Oh, and in food related news, the cinnamon buns I made last week turned out great, but what a pain in the ass! Much like Bart Simpson opening the cranberries, having your kids "help" in the kitchen is a very difficult thing. I was thinking about writing a cookbook specifically geared toward teaching parents how to delegate tasks to their children....of course I'll need to figure it out myself first.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am Amanda:

I love that idea Mike East! That Simpsons clip speaks to me so much because I am often, as an adult, that useless in the kitchen.
  10:26am Gregory in Philly:

You totally made my wife's morning with the Jem song. Love your show.
Avatar Double-Dip Recess Marathon 2022 Swag For Life Member 10:34am Granny Spicy Tuna:

OK already, Bird is the word!

Thank you Gregory, much appreciated!

  10:44am Mike East:

While making the turkey day stuffing with my 13 yr old, I introduced her to the Eat It video...her response: "that was weird"...
  10:45am Mike East:

Yo, ding dong, man, ding dong. Ding dong, yo.
  10:48am jonathan:

Turkey tv song sounds like “I’m my own grandpa” song by Tom Arnold.
  10:49am Jaco:

Greetings from South Africa! Just discovered this WFMU show. Our one year-old is enjoying it (and the parents as well!) Looking forward to future shows. :-) And... Strongbad!

Avatar Double-Dip Recess Marathon 2022 Swag For Life Member 10:50am Ken From Hyde Park:

  10:54am Last White Rhino:

Those evil blockheads always tried to mess things up for Gumby and Pokey.
Avatar 10:54am rbx:

a very fun show, thank you :)
Avatar Double-Dip Recess Marathon 2022 Swag For Life Member 10:55am Granny Spicy Tuna:

Who knew that Jem and Ann-Margret were twins?
  10:55am Mike East:

It is a great regret of mine that I missed Jonathan Richman at White Eagle Hall last month.
Also, whenever I hear Ian Dury, I think about the blockheads from Gumby being his backing band.
  10:56am paul:

I worked with the guy who created Jem. RIP, Bill Sanders.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Amanda:

Happy to hear from all you fine folks this morning! Mwah!
  10:58am Last White Rhino:
