Listener comments!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm howard in nyc:

I thought this doesn't sound like the typical Jonesey music. Much as I love Jones and Burns, this is a wonderful surprise, the return of Bill Kelly, one week early!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm howard in nyc:

but I have a feeling this is gonna be a lonely conversation. No one expects a chat board Noon-3PM on Sundays.
  12:28pm who wins?:

skunk vs. porcupine
Avatar 12:38pm Sid:

It's not as easy as patchin' together one of them satellite shows on the computer, eh?
Avatar 12:40pm Sid:

Gotta adjust the mic processing on Ichy too. BK overpowers that preamp.
  12:40pm the Stoner Gourmet:

Tried the new Post's Nutter Butter cereal. Have to wait way too long for it to get soggy - it's like hard candy
  12:49pm entertainment nostalgia:

Can't find "The Japanese Dylan" on YT anymore. He was pretty good.
  1:12pm Moe:

Sunday Rocks again!
  1:18pm Listener Robert:

The good news is Bill Kelly on now. The bad news is I didn't know it was coming, and waited to tune in until the usual time for Jonesy & Burnsy's mic break.
  1:20pm Listener Robert:

I mean, who listens to Jonesy & Burnsy for the discs they jockey?
Avatar 1:21pm Sid:

Good news is the archives is always there for us, in a few hours in this case.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm Crudbringer:

Sup with playlist, need to favorite things...
Avatar 1:29pm Sid:

Playlist shows up about 4-5 hours after the show. BK has a Luddite privilege grandfathered in.
Avatar 1:39pm Sid:

Isn't going home on Monday actually staying after Sunday? I'm so confused....
  1:43pm tributes:

Both Will Jordan and Bill Dailey were 91.
Jordan was the original Ed Sullivan impressionist on the show, inventing, "Really big shoe," and Ed's shoulder shrug, and knuckle cracking exaggerations.
The "I Dream of Jeannie" bottle was a special edition Holiday gift '64 Jim Beam decanter. From astronaut on that show to airline pilot on "The Bob Newhart Show."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm Crudbringer:

Thx Sid!
Avatar 1:48pm Sid:

Any time, Crud.
  1:50pm Al:

An extra hour of Real Rock & Roll today! What a pleasant surprise when I read that on Bill's FB page.
Avatar 1:57pm Sid:

That's The Record Collector Store in Bordentown, South Jersey. Lotsa great shows there over the years including Grip Weeds, Fleshtones, Swinging Neckbreakers. All in the corner of a record store.
  2:18pm A goddness[sic] on a mountain top:

The "Railroad Man" rhythm guitar riff plays the same as "Venus" . . . which many say was copied from "The Banjo Song" by The Big Three (featuring Cass Elliot), 1963. The Shocking Blue discovered by Jerry Ross visiting Holland.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Whoever is DJing and whenever that person id DJing at WFMU, you're going to get good radio. That is certain.
  2:46pm surf me up, scotty:

Except Jonesey playing "Beach Baby" last month
Avatar 2:51pm Sid:

Drummer sounds like he's beating a squeaky toy.
  2:57pm hidden driveway:

This playlist and comment page was never linked from the FMU home page
  3:00pm epilogue:

Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for ice cream
  3:20pm JJake:

Thought Bill was back at usual time today. Immediately could tell otherwise so came here and learn I missed a 3-hr show! Frack me! Thank goodness for streaming.
Swag For Life Member 6:20pm Peapeagirl:

Thank god your back...!!!
  9:22am Clifton chiropractor:

Thank god Bill's back
