hello Sheila B. and everyone!
so loving that i am able to listen to your show today -- have got to check out more Kathy Heiderman (among others!) -- HOW did i miss her in 1976? fantastic song!
for Philadelphia -- i could easily spend a whole day in the Philadelphia Museum of Art -- Dorothea Tanning's mesmerizing "Birthday" is there :) . . . and yup, you too can take selfies in front of the ROCKY statue! the Museum also has some reduced/free admission days and times, but i do not remember what they are
the Mutter Museum is also there -- have not gotten there myself yet, though . . .
happily there are a whole bunch of record stores in Philadelphia!!! just do not recall where they all are :(
V-Street and Vedge are top-rated vegan restaurants -- unfortunately they were not open until dinner (when we had to leave) but they both should have brunch on weekends (yup, being vegan, we were looking for this)
so, we ended up at Hip City Veg, which has a number of locations in Philadelphia -- pretty decent food!
and while there, a lovely woman sitting next to us recommended the tehina shakes at Goldie's and OMG YES!!! there are AMAZING!!!
goldiefalafel.com...
i WISH i had gotten the woman's name -- or something! -- so i could thank her! YES, people really are friendly in Philadelphia -- HAVE A BLAST!!!!!!!
