Courtney Marie Andrews  Rough Around the Edges   Favoriting (live on WFMU)    This song appears on Courtney's latest, May Your Kindness Remain. It's hard for me to choose my favorite song on this album, but this might be it. Her Bandcamp page: https://courtneymarieandrews.bandcamp.com/  2:14:21 (Pop-up)
Courtney Marie Andrews  Put the Fire Out   Favoriting (live on WFMU)    This song from her previous record, Honest Life (Mama Bird). As she describes, she was long hesitant to sign another record deal. As a result, she was largely unknown. Honest Life was her breakout album. https://courtneymarieandrews.bandcamp.com/album/honest-life  2:18:08 (Pop-up)
Courtney Marie Andrews  (interview)   Favoriting (live on WFMU)      2:21:47 (Pop-up)
Courtney Marie Andrews  I've Hurt Worse   Favoriting (live on WFMU)    Again, a song from May Your Kindness Remain. To me, quite possibly the best Americana album of the year. At any rate, there are very few records that could equal this. In my opinion, her most recent album is one of the best country or folk records in a long time.  2:37:33 (Pop-up)
Courtney Marie Andrews  May Your Kindness Remain   Favoriting (live on WFMU)    This session was set up kind of at the last minute, and I was not able to get an engineer. Thanks to Michael Shelley for helping to set up mics in Studio B. I wish she had played more than four songs. I guess that means she has to come back and play some more! She's back in the area on September 19th, at Rough Trade in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  2:41:34 (Pop-up)
Courtney Marie Andrews  (interview)   Favoriting (live on WFMU)    Do yourself and buy May Your Kindness Remain. The album will sound amazing no many times you play it. Support musicians as well as radio like this.  2:44:59 (Pop-up)

Courtney Marie Andrews  Two Cold Nights in Buffalo   Favoriting May Your Kindness Remain  Fat Possum    2:55:00 (Pop-up)

Goyim in the AM:

Was confused -- this is a Spanish guitarist, right? Initial web searches returned a Canadian progressive power metal band by the same name; this would have been quite a left turn for them.

Hello. I stayed up too late with Daniel Blumin and Rich Hazelton last night, and am up early now. Will have to squeeze a siesta in later..

Goyim in the AM:

It wasn't completely inconceivable that it was the Canadian metal band-- the Black Metal band Xasthur has become an acoustic fingerstyle project (the instrumentals are pretty interesting, but urgh, metal lyrics with indie folk vocals don't work).
