Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10am BronwynB:

good morning howard and sem!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12am jkeigh:

I agree with BillyJam. This isn't music I would normally seek out on my own based on the types of music that are my personal favorites but I've been loving every bit of the shows that I've heard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15am BronwynB:

thanks so much jkeigh :D i feel like that is what wfmu is all about, introducing people to music they wouldn't otherwise be drawn to and im glad to be part of it :)
  5:23am tullius:

Killer elderly blueblood femme vibrato. This is the 2nd best version of this song.
Avatar 5:23am Howard F:

When I was interning in the Capitol building back in mid '90's, I scored a bunch of those Ultra-lounge cd's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24am BronwynB:

@tullius: what's the first best?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24am fred:

This might have been my least-loathed version of The Girl From Ipanema
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25am BronwynB:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25am BronwynB:

@fred: its a great one
Avatar 5:25am Sem:

Wow, BB!. Diggin' the whistlin'
  5:25am tullius:

Don't miss Mrs. Miller and Dustin Hoffman in THE GRADUATE
  5:26am tullius:

@BronwynB I'm not telling here
  5:29am BillyJam:

@Howard F - u interned in the Hollywood Capitol Records building in 90's? If so I first visited that iconic tower building in the 90's when had a friend who worked there - I remember all the Beatles gold records in the lobby
Avatar 5:34am Howard F:

@BillyJam: Yeah, I was in publicity in the summer of '94. I remember walking in circles just for the hell of it! Cool building.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38am BronwynB:

i used to pass that building all the time when i lived in LA but never got to go inside!
  5:39am BillyJam:

@Howard F - yeah a really cool building! So did that lead to a job in music biz or just a good experience to draw from?
@Bronwyn B - didn't know u lived in LA - when was that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40am BronwynB:

i was there january-may 2016
Avatar 5:41am Howard F:

I did it for a summer while I was at NYU. Came back to NY to intern at Matador.
Avatar 5:41am Howard F:

Still friendly with some of those folks.
Avatar 5:43am Howard F:

off to my real job now! Thanks for the great music. Coincidentally, I volunteer at the station sometimes. I'll be sure to say hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44am BronwynB:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45am BronwynB:

yeah they're so cool!!
  5:47am tullius:

Hooo-weee, this is such good eclectic stuff. Good show, lady.
  5:47am Robbo from Sydney:

Hi Bronwyn great show it's been a treat I'm really enjoying it - beats Sunday night TV in Australia but geez sorry that's not much of a compliment. All the best - Dave. This Tinariwnen songs is so cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:48am fred:

I haven't seen Tinariwen in many years, but they were a great live band back then. I guess they still are, their shows just got too expensive for me
  5:53am BillyJam:

wow there are so very many WFMU - LA people connections - and now two more to add - Matador is a good label to work at -Earlier today I was watching videos with a Matador band Algiers.Noticed how on YouTube their average video view number is only 30K - when they deserve so much more - while some of these other music videos get a million views in the first four hours of publishing on YouTube - Anyways - thanks for killer show Bronwyn B - caught last half live - and will listen to first half Monday in the WFMU archives -
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54am BronwynB:

thanks everyone, thank you all so much for listening :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55am jkeigh:

Thanks for a great show. See ya next time I actually get a Sunday off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58am BronwynB:
