Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm Rob (Jerzcity):

speaking of Hubbard --- was Hubbard's Cupboard (cubbard?) a convenience stor chain in NJ? Or was it just one store in Fanwood that was replaced by a Krauszer's?

Avatar 3:16pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

What you call a "carrot" is merely a fertile carrot-cake seed. If allowed to flourish, it may one day achieve its highest potential...

Avatar 4:03pm northguineahills:

who gave the goat an std (that's the title, right?)?
Avatar 4:03pm Lixiviated Life:

I was always under the impression that one of the delightful benefits of being a goat was the ability to be sans - pants all the time.
Ahh the life of a goat, that's the life for me.
Avatar 4:05pm Lixiviated Life:

Those pants-less goats and their STD's...
It's little wonder.

NGH, sure doesn't sound like it, but I seem to remember him selling some mixtapes when I saw him last year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm Devin B.:

Dub Narcotic is also Calvin's/K's studio. These are Olympia fellas, at least in part.
Avatar 4:39pm Chris from DC:

Yes, just realized that refers to the studio.
Avatar 4:40pm Lixiviated Life:

Sorry brother, it was simply my poorly aimed joke about the former Governor of New Jersey (USA) named "McGreivey".
I meant no offense nor confusion.
Feel free to totally ignore me, (most people do).

Avatar 5:08pm Roberto:

I have seen cyclists attempting to text and cycle.
Avatar 5:08pm northguineahills:

I live in a very cyclist friendly town. However, half of the bikes ride on the sidewalks which annoys the hell out of me. I always ride in the street like a real cyclist (nope, no lycra for me, but I always have my lights on and wear a helmet).
  5:08pm frenchee:

cyclists and oh yes they do hold their phones whilecycling, where do you live?
Avatar 5:08pm Jeff Moore:

Citibikers are the joke version of cyclists.

@jeffMoore - very true
Avatar 5:09pm northguineahills:

They ignore stopsigns. That’s my peeve
Avatar 5:10pm northguineahills:

If I cooked more often, I'd be digit-free.
  5:10pm Andy in berlin:

as a cyclist, I have felt under attack by both motorists and pedestrians.
Avatar 5:11pm northguineahills:

I follow all traffic signals when biking. I signal when I turn. I want my behavior to be as predictable to pedestrians, fellow cyclists, and motorists. The motorists here in Gainesville, FL are friendly to cyclists, luckily.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm Michael 98145:

Yay, Rev TD !
  5:12pm 20 Million Robot Butts:

are our memory banks corrupted or did gov. mcGreevy get in trouble because he gave the nj dept of homeland security job to his undocumented immigrant israeli lover who blackmailed him? that juicy story went underreported, eh? if he'd just been merely gay that would've been politically no big deal in nj
Avatar 5:12pm northguineahills:

BSI pre-clickied....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm joe mulligan:

as a lifelong cyclist I know we're hated on more. so I just try to be invisible and not bother anyone. and keep doors' width away from double parked cars. and breeze behind pedestrians, they never walk backwards. really all three do whatever the hell they want to, but cyclists are the ones most hated. except for delivery ppl on electric arrow bikes
Avatar 5:12pm Roberto:

I have no issue with cyclists who observe traffic laws, but they are hard to come by in NYC.
Avatar 5:13pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Egad, there's a golden moldie..!
  5:14pm Devin B.:

Those new-fangled rent-a-scooters, though. We can all hate those, yes?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:14pm Michael 98145:

Here, we are so friendly to cyclists we build them special lanes they can escape to after they run thru you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:14pm Parq:

{ posts popcorn GIF }
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Scott Williams:

What Jeff and Andy said! Riding thru Chinatown & Little Italy I've seen restaurant owners place alfresco diners INTO the bike lane when one's coming! Downtown JC is doorsville & Pavonia Newport is the land of the willful zombie, stepping headlong into any traffic that comes its way
Avatar 5:15pm ben abs:

hey Scott and everyone, back for another dose of spacey brilliance (being in the uk this is outside of normal fmu listening hrs)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm joe mulligan:

cars go in bike lanes without checking for cyclists, pedestrians cross intersections against do not walk signs, and cyclists mostly go through all red lights unless a cop is there. the electric bikes do everything wrong, mostly going the wrong way
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Parq:

Got so into reading the comments that I neglected at first to take note of this wonderfully trippy BSI track.
Avatar 5:16pm northguineahills:

@Roberto: I'm a pacifist, but I've come to fisticuffs w/ wrong-way and sidewalk cyclists (usually starts w/ me giving them a verbal warning, but it's something I've very passionate about. I nearly killed myself on my bike, and I was obeying the laws. Anything that keeps your behavior predictable in transit makes it safer for everyone.
Avatar 5:16pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

in DC, cyclists and pedestrians are both utterly clueless & irresponsible. Going to a place that understands urban cycling (copenhagen) is like another planet; where cyclists largely play by the rules, etc. It's a wee paradise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16pm Michael 98145:

( fan of this one : intangiblearts.bandcamp.com... :)
  5:16pm Rev/olution:

Why the change in name?
Avatar 5:16pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

(speaking as both pedestrian and cyclist)
  5:16pm melinda:

I used to really hate seasonal cyclists who would ride in packs in their fancy gear on the winding 2-lane highways in VT every summer.
Avatar 5:19pm ben abs:

as a cyclist (or cycler) that has lived in berlin and london, man i miss the days of cycling in berlin, super highways galore, london feels like a fight for survival on the daily
Avatar 5:19pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

much respect to jeff barsky, guitar on this one. He's doing fab work with new group (mock identity), touring soon methinks.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm Carmichael:

Carrot cake, perhaps?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm CHUCK ROAST:

Avatar 5:26pm northguineahills:

But being a pacifist. Every time I get hit by someone, I just get up ask them to do it again. Usually, after the second punch, they think I'm mental (i might be), and give up. My hates that I do it b/c she thinks I'll get killed one day.
Avatar 5:27pm northguineahills:

errr... my wife hates it....

(I've only exhibited said behavior in NYC, as it's not explicitly against the law to ride your bike on sidewalks or go the wrong way, although it's encouraged not to do so).
  5:28pm melinda:

@turnip I would try cycling in a place like Copenhagen, here it feels scary.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm Parq:

I was in Poland a couple of summers ago. The cyclists in Warsaw are like what the Rev says about Copenhagen. The ones in Wrocław are like the ones in New York. Go figure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm Stanley:

Don't worry, Chuck, this party is gonna go for a long time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm joe mulligan:

NYC is really safer than NJ to bike - in NY they can't get that much faster in between lights. In NJ it's a race to kill you once the light hits green and they put the pedal to the metal! they go so much faster and I been honked/yelled at/threatened/buzzed & bumped in NJ many more times over
  5:32pm larsson:

sidi mansour, most fantastic!
Avatar 5:33pm northguineahills:

Avatar 5:47pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Haven't heard this Gandalf in a dog's age. Yay.
Avatar 5:48pm northguineahills:

@the good Rev: Yeah, I ride aggressively and fast but obey all traffic laws and yield to (even clueless) pedestrians and give motor vehicles room (unless they don't give me any). The worse altercation I've been in w/ a car is when I clipped a mirror b/c it was hogging the bike lane. Guy was mad, and got out, but I told him he had plenty of room and shouldn't be in the bike lane. How I didn't crash is beyond me.
Avatar 5:49pm northguineahills:

(it was my handle bar that clipped the mirror).

Avatar 5:53pm Rev. Turnip Druid:
